The Osprey was recommended to us by the owner of our B&B, and it very much lived up to her excitement about it. She recommended... calling or booking a reservation as it does fill up. We read some reviews to get a flavor of what drinks and food to try, butthere are daily specials to look out for, too!\n\nIt was clear from our experience that the staff takes great pride in bothrecommending dishes and accommodating slight modifications (see below). For example, I wanted to try the Bee?s Knees but askedfor tequila instead of gin. Phenomenal drink with local blueberry wine incorporated and used during a benefit to supportmaintaining bee populations. My husband enjoyed both of his drinks as well!\n\nThe food was the true showstopper. We asked forrecommendations, and our waitress recommended 4-5 apps and entrees with a variety of cuisines and palates in mind. Weultimately selected the following:\n\nLobster Mac & cheese - phenomenal with lots of lobster. Very creamy and the crunches ontop added a nice touch!\n\nSeafood chowder - we tried several during our Maine adventure and can honestly say this one had themost amount and variety of seafood. It was truly delicious!\n\nCornbread with house made sage butter - the cornbread came outlast and it was clearly made to order. The sage butter was so freshly whipped and a nice contrast.\n\nSteamed Mussels with Thaichili sauce - the absolute best of the best. The sauce packed some heat but complimented not only the mussels but also dunkingour cornbread in it! The gluten free brioche that came with the mussels was also delicious!\n\nWe would definitely come backagain! Read more

A beautiful Sunday afternoon in October. The Osprey made it the perfect Sunday afternoon! An absolutely wonderful, attentive... staff who were pleasant, knowledgeable and so upbeat. Great positive vibes to enhance the really wonderful views. We had thechowder and pizza and two beers. Chowder was filled with seafood and delicious. Pizza was crisp and light and full of flavor.Just loved the experience. Wish we lived closer so I could come weekly. Prices were reasonable. All around what I want from adining experience. Highly recommend if you are anywhere near Georgetown. Definitely worth the trip! Read more

I want to give this place more stars! We came for the view (which is lovely), we came because we were hungry & we will return... because the crew here is phenomenal. They love what they do, they love where they work and it shows!\n\nMy experience startedwhen I called mid afternoon to confirm an online reservation and was greeted by the nicest person on the planet (I later foundout was one of the owners). We got there and they were a little backed up and so we were 1 of 2 reservations on the porch, butthere was only 1 table available and the super kind locals let us have the porch table. I\'m telling you people walk into thisrestaurant and just want to be kind.\n\nWe were recommended to order the scallops\nwhich came with polenta I wanted to bathein!\n\nOur server, Amanda, was amazing. The hostess (I didn\'t catch her name) was so super kind as well. The vibes are justgood here. I feel like the food tasted better because there was so much love in the building. I know it simple to feed peoplebut it\'s harder to do when a restaurant down the street closes early for the season, half your staff goes back to college andyou\'ve likely been working every single day since May but man it does not show with this crew. If Ted Lasso was to own arestaurant, this would be it.\n\nMake the Osprey the top of your list when you are planning your next dinner out! Do yourselvesa favor and give The Osprey a try, I promise, you won\'t regret it! Read more

Paddled up from Beal Island campsite, left our kayaks at the dinghy dock and were delighted to have happy hour and appetizers... out on the deck. Waitstaff was fun, very helpful, and accommodating to our unique needs. Oysters were delicious and cornbread +seasoned herbed butter was delicious. We had an amazing time. Read more
