OMG 5th visit falling fast crab dip with no crab, crab cake with no crab and when we ask they said they ran out. Lol Poorest... management possible. First experience was pleasant, food very flavorful. Portion size was bare minimum to be acceptable. Happyhour appetizers left a lot to be desired, nothing special on the list. I ordered crab imperial. It came out as mashed crab with HEAVY old nasty. Sent it back. Then tried the crab cake. It was... mashed crab too. The others at our table did not really care for their meals either. The manager never showed up to see what wasgoing on. The service was very slow also. We have been twice. First time was for brunch and we sat indoors. I’d say that time the food was ok service was poor. Went a... second time and sat on the deck for dinner. The service was great and the food was great. Had the deviled eggs which were alittle different and very good. Everyone at the table had seafood and all were quite pleased with their entrees. We took our first trip to the Kitty Knight House today, 6/25, only it’s Deep Blue now. We did not check since we’ve been... coming for years. We had drinks at the bar outside, but based on the review from the people next to us, we didn’t order food.They ordered two apps and both of them were bad. Sad to see with such a great location. If you make reservations online, be careful,\nthey don\'t honor requests. Made reservations for outdoor seating and arrived... early. The host, who I assume was the manager, took us inside and when I said I made reservations for outside seating, I wastold there was a wait, even though the people in front of us were seated outside WITHOUT a reservation. When I questioned thisthe guy asked \'Did you make your reservations online?\' When I answered yes he replied, \'Oh I didn\'t realize you couldrequest outdoor seating online.\' I\'m sorry, if you are manging this restaurant, you aren\'t aware you can make reservationsfor outdoor seating through YOUR website? You are walking around with iPads and you don\'t realize what types of reservationrequests have been reserved?\n\nFood was okay, not horrible but not great either, not a lot of flavor. One of the most beautiful spots on the water. The Kitty Knight house overlooks the Sassafras River and the sunsets are... spectacular! Always friendly service and the food is awesome. Come out and enjoy! Read more
