This is a quite popular eating establishment; especially with the seniors from Sun City. Usually one can walk-in with no wait... although it is usually quite busy. The prices are reasonable. I recently had the fried cod with fried oysters. The fried fish istasty however the coating is heavier that it needs to be. A lighter batter woud be much better. The oysters were fine, as werethe fries. The hush puppies are too small, about the size of a quarter, and are bland. I would recommend slightly larger withperhaps garlic as a flavor enhancer. My wife had the Grouper (grilled) which she enjoyed. The sides were tasty. The service wasnice and after ordering the wait for the entree's was ok. Found this little gem when picking something up fro. Wolf Ranch in Georgetown. If you go I ask to sit in Avery's section. He... is a sweet guy and we had lots of fun talking with him. We loved the specials there. Read more
I hate to blow this place up with the best review cause I wanna keep it my little secret spot lol Tried out Fish City Grill for... the first time yesterday, went during Happy Hour and it was above and beyond on service and food! The Manager Brittney hooked usup with a sampler of their soups since she learned it was our first visit. 4 samplers, each sample was amazing and was temptedto get some Crab Bisque even tho it was 101 degrees outside, not the best time for soup. These soups are all amazing. Ended upgetting the Garlic Caper Salmon, veggies were as tasty as the Salmon. My wife had The Cod and Oyster plate, which was amazing. Isampled some of hers. Don't skip on the Oyster Nachos as an Appetizer! At first that sounded like a bad combination to me, butOMG they are flavor bombs! Refreshing with chipotle mayo as the base then the fried oyster and topped with fresh salsa. Homerun!The wait staff was amazing and personable and fun. Wow!! So good! Started with fried pickles. My husband had the snapper, he asked for it fried instead of blackened. (Pic 1) I had... the arctic char, first time. (Pic 2) I can not express how good it was!! Everything was hot and seasoned perfectly! It was mybirthday meal, so we finished off with the Eruption cake. (Pic 3) Holy cow! 1-22-22 Came from out of town to do some shopping and saw this place. Glad me and my mom decided to stop in. It was DELICIOUS.... We had the calamari appetizer, shrimp tacos, fish and chips and side salad. It was all so good, fresh and hot. Looking forwardto stopping by again one day soon. I'd be generous and give it 3 stars for food, but the servers are not wearing masks during a level 5 of Covid. The oysters on... the half shelf were good. However I had to ask for the lemon wedges because they didn't bring any with it. Then they served themain order before we even touched the oysters. I had a simple fish & chips which was as bland as it was uninspiring. The batterwould have been better if I bought it in the frozen section of the supermarket. It was neither crispy nor good in any other way.The fish inside was falling apart and the fries served instead of bigger wedges of potatoes were mostly limp instead of crispy.The malt vinegar from the menu description was nowhere to be tasted. We had crab tower (it had 3 sauces), grilled trout, fish and chips and coleslaw. Service was fast and waitress was attentive,... food was delicious, they even had malt vinegar for the fries, draft beer was good, wide selection of food and drinks, well ranrestaurant, speaks highly of the staff! The service and food were fantastic. The fried pickles were perfect, light, crisp, not greasy. The chicken, and andouille... sausage with red beans and rice was to die for. The oyster tacos were tasty. Completely wheelchair accessible throughout. 2ndtime and I'll definitely be back. Read more
