I would definitely go back weekly if I lived in the area. My wife and I were just passing through and stopped to get a bite to... eat. The salad bar was pretty big. Nothing really bad about it. I had the soup and salad bar and nothing was old or wilted and the bar itself was clean. The only... thing that was a little off putting to me was a kind of musty smell you sometimes have in old buildings maybe? It wasn't aterrible smell but it was noticeable. The food I ate was good. Better than a lot of places with all you can eat salad bars. They also had a nacho bar and a dessert bar in addition to salads and soups. I enjoyed the soups I tried very much. The nachoswere good too but not as well tended as everything else was and some of it seemed like it could have been replaced. I didn'ttry anything off the menu but the steaks smelled good! I would recommend it as a decent place to eat just not a destination inits own right. More positive than not so don't be afraid to give it a shot! Read more

Our family likes Hoss?s primarily because of the salad/dessert/food bar. The inside of the restaurant looks nice, there?s a... large fireplace in the center of the room that we always sit by (it has a light to cause it to glow even in summer). We oftenorder a burger and add the food bar; however the food bar is plenty just to get that! Staff is friendly and the one large TVthat is on always has funny stunt/extreme sports videos?our kids find that entertaining. One thing-it maybe smells more like acleaning product than food when you enter and that isn?t super appetizing, but, that probably means it?s very clean??????????????? Read more
Hoss?s Steak and Sea House is comparable to an old, tired steakhouse chain from the 1980s. It was clean. The service staff were... friendly enough, but seemed to be stretched thin although they weren?t too busy. I had the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes &gravy. In addition to adding the salad bar, I opted for a side of steamed broccoli. Overall the food was decent, no realcomplaints. Read more
Not the place to go for steaks. Over cooked and tough. Kitchen lacks the skills to cook anything besides dried out. Even the... chicken sandwich was dried out. Stopped here for dinner after the Gettysburg Christmas Festival on December 4th. The steak tips with peppers and onions... (picured) were delicious and well prepared, and with the soup, salad, and dessert bar included it comes out to a real bargainand a good place to find something for everyone in the family.
