We are so glad that we chose Mamma Ventura for dinner! Our waitress, Mandy, was awesome! Very knowledgeable about the drinks... and menu and very friendly. My Southern Peach drink was delicious! Both of our dinners were fantastic. We chose FettucciniAlfredo and the Steak and Shrimp. Great portions and cooked perfectly. We topped the meal off by sharing the chocolateespresso cake which was perfect. If you are in Gettysburg, I would highly recommend Mamma Ventura. Read more
PROS: This restaurant was a very nice Italian place in Gettysburg. It's bigger than it looks because there's a room that... stretches way back. The food is good, the prices are great, and the variety is strong. The waitress with dyed red hair was VERYnice as she was the waitress, bartender, and bus girl all at the same time. Absolutely delicious! I ordered the chicken parmesan. The amount of chicken and pasta given was large enough to feed two adults.... The sauce is delightful. My dinner came with salad /roll and the house-made dressing was very, very good as well. I live out ofstate, but the next time I am in Gettysburg, I will be making another visit to Mamma Ventura's! I'm a tourist and Mamma Ventura Restaurant is the place that take us. The most famous restaurant didn't want to take us because... it was too much customer or they didn't have a worker i do not know. This restaurant is not busy but very slow service. Iwaited 5 minutes for seating and 15 minutes for waitress to take my order. I actually saw thae review before I got in to theplace but it was not eating place, very hot day, long walking distance, etc. At least I'm in somewhere who take us. Some anotherrestaurant in the area open after 3 PM. I have fried calamari for start and salad that comes with the meal for lunch. It took awhile for main to come and pasta was over cooked. I have fish but they only have the bake on left. The problem is they have lackof worker that is why service and food comes so slow. Read more
Decent Italian food - chicken parmigiana was great, Caesar salad was really good. Pasta with marinara and lasagna was fine but... nothing special. Great location and nice ambiance in downtown Gettysburg. Read more
