The restaurant has a view of the active harbour. The 7 pm Saturday sitting was busy. The music and crowds made the dining room... quite noisy. We had the Crab Ravioli and GF spaghetti Bolognese with Cesar salads and large garlic cube croutons. We ended withthe gelato and creme brule for desert. Dinner with a nice view and good quality pizza. That?s about it. We had 3 attempts of visiting this restaurant. The first time... it was closed (mid week). Our bad for not checking the scheduled. The second time they did not let us in one hour before theysuppose to close because ?we had a crazy night and we are tired?. Coming from Vancouver that was pretty strange to hear. Thethird time we finally got a chance to visit the restaurant as we made a reservation prior to our arrival. The food & drinksquality was good. The dessert was mediocre. I would recommend visiting this restaurant but make sure to have a reservation andarrive early or the staff might be to tired to serve you. Read more
Beautifully appointed, great views and friendly service! We were able to squeeze in on a Friday early evening without a... reservation! We were asked in 1.15 would be enough as they had a table coming in and that suited us just fine! The food wastasty and fresh! The cocktails were pretty delightful! It was a great meal all around! Delicious! Portions were decent. The burrata was a great starter for 3 people. My dad and sister had the local clam spaghetti. I... had the crab ravioli with the scallops add on. Although the spaghetti was tasty, I think the crab ravioli (in photo) was themost loved. Excellent view of the harbour. Classy joint. We will be back for pizza next. Read more

Started with the meatballs (very tender) and burrata (super smooth pesto). Ordered the porcini ravioli and gnochetti bolognaise... (excellent, seasoned perfectly). Finished with the chocolate torte (strawberry gelato was divine) and creme brulee (one of thebest I've had!). Beautiful little spot by the water, a must try! ???? Read more
On Friday, Sept 10th, my two girlfriends and I arrived in Gibsons late. We had missed our intended ferry from Horseshoe Bay and... were looking for somewhere to eat around 7pm. Luckily, even though Buono was busy, they were clearing up a table of to go ordersso they had room for us with a 15 minute wait. The smell of the restaurant when you walked in had us drooling. The kitchen, is apartially open concept kitchen on the right as soon as you walk in. We sat down and looked at our menus, and right awaycouldn't decide, everything looked delicious. We started with the burrara appetizer, because my friends haven't had thatbefore. It was so fresh, and sat on the most vibrant green pesto I'd have ever seen. They have a magnificent wine menu, thoughwe didn't have any alcohol on this occasion. My one girlfriend ordered the ravioli, which indeed looked like a summers day asdescribed. My other girlfriend ordered the Gnochetti Bolognaise, which was a rich slow cooked beef tenderloin ragu sauce thatwas so decadent. That would be perfect with a Malbec or a Cab Franc. I had the cacio e peppe which came with truffle. It was sodelicious. The perfect portion, not overly salty like I've had in some restaurants downtown Vancouver. I wish we had a placelike this in the Fraser Valley. By the time our dessert came, a dark chocolate torte, a DJ started playing 90s hip hop. Ithappens every Friday and Saturday night. We all grew up listening to that music and love it so, it was the perfect start to amuch needed girls weekend. We will always remember this meal, thank you to all the wonderful staff! Read more
Excellent place for a drink or a meal or a drink AND a meal. Or just lots of drinks and a few small bites. The service is... excellent . The team is committed to quality and it shows. Lots of great dishes to recommend but if you're already staring atthe menu then you have your list of recommendations. ???? Ask for the reserve wine list, some excellent bottles to pair withyour meal. Read more
