Not my favorite. This was my second time trying Dexter's once we got take out and I was not satisfied the burgers were dry and... lacked the flavor I was hoping for. The second time we went in to give another chance, it was the same for me though. Dry notflavorful I had to add ketchup and mustard to help out along. Plus they forgot to give us our shakes when we did finally getthem there was not very much chocolate in them so I asked for a side of the chocolate sauce and got some attitude from theworker. Only found this place on Google maps (the day before our trip). I did not read any reviews when I was searching for a place to... eat on our drive out to a friend's cabin so we went in with no expectations. We all found the food delicious. We kept it simplefor the drive and ordered cheese burgers and fries with shakes for the kids. I ordered the #1 which is the double dexter burgerand added bacon... delicious! Don't waste your time or money here. After standing in line for 5 minutes with 1 customer in front of me, I was ignored and... service was granted to a new customer who had just walked up to the window. After placing my order of a Shrimp Burger andSalmon Burger, I was told the wait time would be 15 minutes. Thirty minutes later, I finally received my order which wasrepeated back to me correctly from the lady at the counter. When I arrived home, I was displeased to see I received two Salmonburgers. Not only was that frustrating but it was by far the most foul "Salmon Burger" I had ever seen. See the picture below. Ishould have trusted my gut and thrown it away but unfortunately I ate half of the Burger and was even more displeased. I had tostop when the middle of the patty wasn't even luke warm. Not to mention it tasted like what I would imagine a spawned rottenchum would taste like that you would find near the bridge of Minter Creek. After calling twice and being hung up on both times,the lady finally answered after the 3rd time. Third times a charm ammirite? Wrong. When explaining my experience and asking howthey would make it right, she acted like she was incoherent and handed the phone to the younger kid working behind the counterat the time. After repeating myself to him multiple times, he offered for me to come back for the correct order. I would ratherhave my refund.. which I would still have to drive back to receive even tho the order was placed on a card. He took my numberand said the owner would be calling me shortly. I knew I wouldn't ever hear back from them. Trust me when I say this was one ofthe worst restaurant experiences I have ever encountered. I'm surprised the health department hasn't shut this place down. AndI wouldn't be surprised if they they see them sometime soon. Dexter's Drive-In is crooked. Read more
Perfectly fine local fast food. Not great by any means. Quick good service. Can order from inside or outdoor windows
We stopped for lunch after and it was delicious. I had the #1 which was a double cheeseburger and fries. The soft drinks are... sold separately. Pictures really don't capture the size of this burger. It was huge and too much for me to finish. The saucesare $1.08/each. I tried the tartar and ranch. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely support again. Read more
Ordered a chicken strip basket and Oreo shake. Chicken strips and shake were good but the fries were absolutely disgusting... undercooked almost raw. Cook needs some training. Been going to Dexter's for years and their fry's were always great. I will betalking to the owner the next time I see him. Read more
While they have amazing milkshakes... do NOT order from the website. We did... got there for pick up... and THEN told they don't... take online orders. Waste of our time. Read more
