Came here for the first time and had a good experience. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. The broth was ok, not incredibly... flavorfuln it had the perfect amount of red chile oil for a kick. The egg in the ramen was hardboiled, so not my favorite but itwas still good. The noodles were perfectly cooked, had a firm chew and held onto the broth well. I only got 1 piece of chashupork in my bowl. Some parts of it were dry/chewy wild another part was deliciously fatty and fell apart. There were also no soupspoons so enjoying the broth with the noodles was difficult. It seems customers were throwing them away. Overall, it was just agood bowl of ramen. Read more

Mediocre at best to be honest. The noodle tastes like store bought ramen from H-mart or Asian market. Not the instant ramen,... but the fridge ramen with soft noodle. Chashu tastes plain and too fatty. Beef actually tastes textured and good. Dumplingstaste like frozen from Asian grocery store as well. Nothing bad though. Considering the price and speed, you probably don'texpect them to have hand-made gyoza (dumplings). If you have never tried Japanese ramen before and you want to start withexploration of Japanese food, you may find it tasty. But sorry we've had much better experience at other places. Update: it'sgood to hear from the owner. I understand that it's always good to support local business and get approval from customers, especially from us Chinese and Japanese people. And yes, the soup part is good. This comment is not served as a disapproval ofthe shop itself. And I encourage all people, American and non-American, to come to this shop and give it a try. I like the ramen here very much. Chewy and fresh, better than most ramen I had elsewhere. The beef soup is tasty too, and l can... tell they use fresh beef and vegetables. The price is also good, which costs about less than 15 bucks with everything included.I recommend the restaurant to any ramen lovers. Read more

The food here is very delicious! House Special Ramen is my favorite. I especially like the beef in the Ramen, it is so tender... and tasty. The portion of Ramen is perfect and I even finished all the soup each time. Read more

I ordered the orange chicken, just terrible, no sauce and bland few pieces of cabbage & brocolli. Rice was dry and again no... sauce at all. The egg rolls were crispy but the inside was mushy. Waste of my money, maybe I should have eaten there so I cldhave complained while there. Read more

I got the House Special with shrimp. It's my favorite. I love spicy food and this hits the spot. When I go to other ramen places... they don't have this flavor. So I'm always gonna be coming back to Haiku Tokyo. Read more

It didn't meet my expectations, so I won't go here or recommend it. But I'm glad I tried it to find that out. Very "limited"... menu. Sticky tables. The Katsu chicken, the sauce was too sweet like a BBQ almost. The Teriyaki chicken was decent, I liked thesmokey flavor. The Udon soup was good but I asked for no onions and there were green onions, this was an allergy for someone inmy family. The gyoza was good. I guess she must have misheard me and I was charged and given two bobas, I said two waters. Read more

I CANNOT recommend chicken dishes here. The two chicken plates we ordered were so DRY, they were NOT EDIBLE. We tried, but... wound up throwing much of it away. The teriyaki meat was dark meat, so it must have been sitting out way too long &/or wasovercooked to be so rubbery. The only thing we enjoyed was the gyoza. It was fresh & very tasty. There were very fewcustomers, so we did not expect to clean dirty tables before eating our meal. That takes us to using the facilities for papertowels & soap to clean our tables. The bathroom was very dirty & it was so dark, I'm not sure if their light bulb was goingout, or they purposely use dim lighting to keep you from noticing how dirty it is. The sink & floor looked like what you findat a tire or mechanic shop. Read more
