This is an excellent place with quality food and variety. Nice family ambiance, so the reason I rated it with 4/5 stars overall... was because after we were taken to our table we were waiting more than 20 min before I asked a waitress that nobody came yet totake us the drinks' order!. She immediately took our drinks'order and after waiting that long we already had decided what toorder so she took all orders at once. Read more

I don't know what happened to this place but it went downhill fast. Owner needs to step up and Crack the whip or just close the... doors and move on. Service was bad barely spoke English. Food was horrible and at best half the portions it used to be with coldpotatoes and an omelet that the cheese wasn't even melted. Tuna sandwich made on the wrong bread and missing requested tomatoand biscuits and gravy with one gummy cold biscuit and barely warm gravey and couple scrambled eggs that tasted like they weredone in the microwave. This place used to be great five star for breakfast now it looks and feels like nobody gives a flyinghoot about it and will be a hard pass for me from now on. If your looking to eat in Gilroy there is a ton of other choices outthere do yourself a favor and keep looking beyond the bear. Hope it is isolated to this one and the others are still operatingup to par cause it was a great place. If it is a franchise then corporate should tank this on off the list and get their brandoff the building fast before it damages their reputation any further. Read more

Kind of cheesy stuffed "bear" decor. Salads were enormous, a bit overpriced in my opinion.

Place was a little dirty. Even though there was open space for my group of 6 they kept seating smaller groups of people that... came in after us. The spot that looked big enough for our group was open the whole time and was clean we eventually sat at. It'shard to say that there no bias when people of a different color with smaller groups or even the same size get seated before youor come in after you but get their food before you. Our waiter was very friendly, just didn't enjoy the food. The food is just okay, I can cook all of what I've ordered much... better, using fresher ingredients for a quarter of the cost. Maybe you would have been a little better if half the food on myplate wasn't cold when I received it. All of the food I tried seemed kind of dryand not to fresh. Very warm, relaxed atmosphere. Great place for comfort food that tastes good. The portions are big enough to split and well... priced. The pancakes I had were so delicious and tasted home-made. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I would go backfor sure. Read more

Came in for brunch on a Saturday with the wife and kids. It was pretty busy but the wait was only about 25 minutes. When we were... seated we were greeted quickly. Our server brought our drinks out really quickly. We order two kids meals and it was way tomuch food. Normally when we go places and only order one kid meal for them to share it?s not enough, so we ordered 2 and it wasway to much. Kids meals are huge! My wife got the tri tip dip and it was delicious. I ordered the county friend steak breakfastand it was perfect as well. Definitely great food and service. The cost was actually a lot less expensive than anticipated aswell. Read more
