Greetings at the door was very nice, service was amazing. Food was ok but our order wasn't what we asked for and the steak... special came but wasn't very warm. They were really busy and since our server was so nice and pleasant we just ate. We weretraveling and found them on Google. If we're in the area again we might try again when it's a bit less busy. The food is excellent, the service was great, and there was no wait for a table. My only complaint was the lighting was so dark... you had a hard time admiring the decor and reading the menu. I ordered the cowboy "16oz ribeye steak" with potato salad andfried okra. The potato salad was some of the best I've ever had, and the fried okra was perfect. The steak was well seasoned anddidn't require any steak sauce. But they did go a little heavy on the salt. I ordered it medium rare and it was perfectlycooked. My husband and I are from out of town. Staying at mammoth cave lodge for a few days. Decided to try this place for my bday... dinner. We ordered our food to go. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating to my needs. I ordered a sandwich with nobun BUT I forgot to make sure they still gave me the toppings and condiments...I had to go back twice for everything (wastotally my fault for not making sure we got everything even though there was no bun ordered). I forgot to take pictures of thefood before we devoured it! My husband got a double bacon cheeseburger with broccoli and I got the Cajun boneless loin chop withbroccoli and a loaded baked potato. It?s a very cozy place with good food and great service. The Texas toothpicks are solid- jalapeños and onions fried in a thick... badder. The sauce was unique but they brought us ranch too. It made a great compliment. The Friday night special was the 8 oz.NY strip. The doneness matched our orders and the sides were delectable. We will definitely go back. The lava cake is ????. Read more
