Been here twice now and I have yet to be disappointed. Food is amazing and the service is great! Great old fashion that is made... properly. Great seasonal drink menu. This time around we got the lascalas fries (no long hots), cheesesteak pizza (no onions orlong hots) and Alicia's Sunday Dinner. So good! We will be back! Read more

Restaurant is very spacious. Bright lights, zero ambience. Service was excellent by Elena. Parking was convenient right outside... the restaurant on the street. Appetizers: ricotta mixed with honey, served with hot bread - very good, a little heavy. Beetsalad was pretty good. Entree: large portion of penne with vodka sauce had ok flavor, but mega salty. Other dishes at thetable looked decent: chicken milanese and salmon. Read more

My wife and I were childless for about two hours (thanks Mom). We decided we were tired of all of our usual spots and decided to... go into Glassboro for a change of scenery, we chose LaScala's after checking out some menus online. We were greeted by friendlystaff, a clean, bright environment, good music, prompt service, hot plates of delicious food. I got the Tuscan chicken with sundried tomatoes in cream sauce over linguine. It was excellent! Definitely enough for leftovers, too. My wife got the beet andwalnut salad. I had a good amount of hers, it was very fresh and savory, not overly sweet like I expected. I felt that it wasweird these two dinner dishes didn't come with some bread for the table, so I asked our waiter Caleb to hook us up. He did, andI'm glad. Even the bread was delicious. On top of the fresh food and good service, I have to give a tip of the hat to the bar aswell. I got a whiskey sour with egg white and I didn't expect that, most places skimp out. I enjoyed my drink and my wifeenjoyed hers as well. Some type of citrus seltzer lemon lime type. Anyway, obviously we had a good experience and we hope youguys do. Enjoy!! Read more

Ate in this time, we had the meatball trio for starters with veal milanase and lump crab and shrimp on a bed of linguine in a... white wine sauce. Food was good, veal was a bit dry but the arugula and mozzarella was so fresh it made up for it. Our serverwas friendly and attentive. My reason for dropping a star this visit was the condition of the restrooms. Both the mens andwomen's need cleaning, floors mopped, overflowing trash emptied, paper restocking, etc. We will come back, we do like it hereand hopefully it was just an off night. Ordered take out for Valentines Day dinner, it was wonderful! We got the Brusselsprouts and calimari for starters and the seafood fra diavolo, veal marsala and veal milanase for entrees. Veal was tender anddone just right. There were a large amount of the mussels, clams, shrimp and calimari in the seafood dish. Yes, we lovecalimari!! ???? Ordering over the phone was a breeze and food was ready when promised. All the staff we interacted with werehelpful and friendly. Can't wait to eat at LaScala's again!!! Read more

Just basic Italian. Decor and ambience is non-existent and the wood fire smell like a new shoe, just unappetizing. I had... calamari fritta as the appetizer and it obviously came out of a bag. It was all chewy rings with little flavor. Wife wouldn'teven eat it that or her meal. She got the veal picatta. It was covered in capers and mushroom which is her favorite , but theveal was tough and the dish lacked flavor. My veal San remo was also chewy but the flavor was decent. I personally don't likewhen you put shrimp in a dish but leave the shell on but I clean my plate, so I have no real complaint. Just basic bland Italianfood, if that's your thing you'll love it. Great atmosphere, very large space easily able to accommodate a 100 or more customers. You can call 30 mins ahead on the weekend... to reserve a table. We didn't know that until arriving looking for a table for 3. 30 minute wait or find seats at the bar inwhich we did. You are able to order the full menu at the bar. The service at the bar was Great! The place is very busy but oncewe ordered our food, it came out with out the wait I was expecting. Great place to watch a football game also. Large tvsthroughout. I had wood fired pizza and the meatball trio. Both of which were very good. Read more
