My boyfriend and I went last night to have oysters in honor of his father who passed this week (he was an oyster man for most of... his life). We sat at the bar, and we loved our entire experience (as we have in the past). PEI oysters hit the spot as did theHawaiian tuna and Caesar with salmon. The cocktails always read to sound so interesting - they are so unique and delicious! Ienjoyed the mezcal drink I had and he loved his whisky drink! We met one of the owners who was so nice to chat with and evenoffered to jump up and help us with something when we were trying to ask the bar tender for a side of sauce. The new guy with the mask that set us at our table, was a little rude. Seem to be a little argumentative, a no at all. Then we... had the most amazing waitress, she was funny, knowledgeable, extremely attentive. I had the big stuffed lobster and loved it.My friend had a fish dish. You cannot go wrong at Max’s Fish. I wish I got the name of the gentleman who is brought us to ourtable. He was skinnier, in his 50s, and was the only one wearing a mask. Read more
I don’t think I’ve ever been here for dinner, but I’ve done a few happy hours at Max Fish and have always been happy with... my drinks, apps, and the service. It can get a little crowded and loud at times, but as long as you don’t mind that it’s agreat place to chill out after work. They’re pretty good about listing what is gluten free, too! Read more
Max Fish has excellent seafood and that is why I visit. The bar and waitstaff has a friendly staff and the service is quick. One... comment, if you are purchasing alcohol at the bar, my experience is that you have to be aware of the ingredients in your drink.The spirits are listed separately on the receipts. Beautiful restaurant very clean plenty of room inside. Nice bar cozy friendly atmosphere. Service is excellent drinks are very... good. The food is top notch superb. I came here for happy hour with my friend on a Tuesday afternoon after hearing great things about it. Their happy hour is very... early, 3-5pm so we got there for 4:30pm. Parking was good at that time, its on the street so I could see it getting verycrowded. However I was able to park close and walk over. The building itself is very cool, an old house converted to arestaurant and the bar area is modern and nicely decorated. Our bartender was friendly and she checked on us multiple times.Their food specials and drink options were also good for happy hour! The burger slider was actually the size of a normal burgerso I thought that was a great deal. Overall I'd recommend a stop in, I just wish their happy hour went to 6pm like the placesnearby because I'd choose this place more often! Read more
A must stop if you are in the area. The fish is cooked perfectly. This restaurant is kind of a throwback to when the focus was... on the atmosphere and the food.
