Pricey but the food was great. I recommend the short rib pho. A little gimmicky but the short rib was cooked en vogue with the... cuisine. It was tender and beefy, informed with the spices that flavor the broth. The accoutrement is a little lacking - theycould've given you more sprouts and aromatics. Read more
Good is decent but service is not. & do not order delivery?each time we have they always leave our the rice. Who wants to eat... the soupy part without the rice? & when you call, they say to tell them w next order for a credit. A credit of what? $1 forrice. Give me break. Finally found a good pho place around the Richmond area. Other places I've been to would be dirty, not taste great, and/or use... bad quality ingredients but this place checked off all the boxes for me. Clean restaurant, flavorful clean broth, and fresh beansprouts (most important for me tbh). Thick cut brisket in the pho, decent steak, and perfectly cooked noodles. Will be my go topho place from now. Only complaint was the banh mi bread; wish they used the harder and crustier baguette. Read more
The service is excellent. We drove 1.5 hours for an appointment and thought we would give this place a try. We have eaten at... other phô places in Richmond, but this place beats all. The broth is delicious the best I?ve ever had. No lie. The gentlemanthat served us was so kind. We had a great conversation and told us what food was good on the menu that we will be back to trymore stuff. Prices are also great. You have got to try this place!! Read more
Got some takeout from here the other week. I needed to grab something close to Innsbrook. What an awesome find! Everything... tasted so good & fresh. I got the Coconut Shrimp Curry (Cari Tom), a vegetarian Bahn Mi, a fried taro cake appetizer (BotChien), and Vietnamese Pad Thai (Pho Xao). While RVA has a number a good Vietnamese restaurant, Pho Saigon has a number of Offerings you don't see everywhere. The Banh Xeo... (Rice Crepe with Shrimp + Pork + Bean Sprouts, eaten with lettuce leaves, pickled veg and herbs) was a total knockout. Chickencabbage salad, Pork Belly bahn mi and sticky rice dessert were also very good. Service and decor were good as well. Worth makingthe effort to get here, no matter where in RVA you live. In terms of the pho, I?d give this place 4.5 stars if I could. The broth was good but was missing something. Didn?t have the... robust meaty flavor I?m accustomed to. A bit light. Read more
