The company has a free smoothie event going on, and the store only gets staffed with one poor associate during dinner rush? I'm... not sure if this was just a bad moment and not the norm or what's going on, but it looks bad when there's about 10 peoplewaiting on orders and the associate is struggling. Read more

The employee they had working today was absolutely polite, and kind. Despite being the only one working he still maintained a... great attitude and was working hard to fulfill the orders as quickly as possible! He definitely deserves a hand for being sogreat! My smoothie was made perfectly to my liking and I just wanted to give thanks to the young man who was working so hard! Read more

My mom and I walked in when it was completely empty and we saw two or three employees with airpods in working who didn?t... acknowledge us. While we stood there waiting for someone to notice us and take our order, we watched them making smoothieswithout any sanitary precautions. For example, we witnessed them reusing blenders to make new smoothies without washing themfirst. We waited for almost 10 minutes, and they never looked at us once. We started leaving, and I thought they would notice usthen, but no. My mom spoke up to get their attention and when they finally saw us they sounded kind of rude and like they didn?tcare. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. This is the second time recently this has happened. I would definitelyrecommend looking at the reviews before coming here. Considering the 2 star average rating and the plethora of negative reviews,management doesn?t seem to be addressing any issues. I don?t think we will be returning any time soon. Never had a problem here until recently. I ordered my smoothies online and took two empty Starbucks cups to throw away inside... while I picked up my order. Well, as soon as I stepped in a man in a wheelchair starts yelling "you can't bring those in here!You have to throw those away outside" I asked "why? I ordered drinks from here?" And before I could even finish he says "Youcan't bring those in here, they're outside food!" He was so rude but I said "ok" and threw them away outside. Came back in,which by then he was taking someone else's order, I went to the area for order pick ups and nothing was there. So, I stood therefor a second and he says "did you get a mobile order or something?" I said "yes" and he says "well, what's your name?" I said"Phalen", which is pronounced like Fallon, and he says "oh, here Pamela" and I corrected him and he must of called me Pamelathree more times. He is the most rude man, I never want to go back to this location. Read more

This place is extemely bad, multiple times I order ahead of time and they never make the "promised time". My combo was suposed... to be ready at 11:55, my smoothie was done at 11:40 and my food didnt get made until about 12:20. Also this is the worst lookinggrilled cheese Ive seen. Read more

This was the worst experience with Tropical Smoothie I've ever had in my entire life. Will never return here. The worst ever.... The manager and staff should be ashamed. I placed an online order, for $13.84 that couldn't be fulfilled because their "blenderswere down." So when I get there, they tell me they can't complete my order and hand me $13 back and said they didn't have changeand so they couldn't give me the 84 cents. There were customers piled up behind me and I told them I wasn't leaving til theygave me my money back. They had to get a manager on the phone to authorize a refund of MY money when there was 16 cents in thetip jar they can take to cover the drawer until later! Horrible kids running that place. When I said "there's 16 cents in thetip jar, just take it from there and give me a dollar," they said "that's our tip money!" Like their money is more importantthan my money! The most ridiculous experience I've ever had anywhere. Honestly. Horrible way to do business. The kids in therewere so rude, trying to steal my money and not give me anything! Oh, and a SMOOTHIE place's blenders ALL being down?! Every oneof them?! Tell me another one lazy! There were probably 7 employees there that couldn't do anything, didn't amount toanything. Shameful. No sense of customer service whatsoever. They thought it was funny that they wouldn't make my food orsmoothie and then wouldn't give me my money back! Started writing this waiting for service. It's been about five minutes standing at the register of an empty restaurant as about... 3 employees act like we don't exist. Eventually took our order, not rude but not friendly definitely act like they don't want tobe here all staff has airpods in and don't seem to care. Watched staff do the same thing to the next group of people. Alsoprobably the worst looking and smelling tropical smoothie I've been in, bathrooms dirty and dingy. Rusty surfaces, stickyfloors, not sure if Virginia has the same laws as other states but no visible dhec grade or score. Hopefully the food andsmoothies are better than everything else. Read more

Got the king wrap, a little burnt as was my son's turkey wrap. Also cup was very sticky like the juice had gotten all over... it. Glad to have pickup order ready before est. Time but surprised at quality of food. Skip the disappointment and go to theatlee road one instead. Read more
