I called ahead to let them know we were celebrating our 53 anniversary. The chef and owner greeted us. A menu with our... anniversary was on our table. We have eaten here 4-6 times. Wonderful view of the Manitou island and Lake Michigan are topped off by spectacular food and excellent staff. Expensive, but absolutely phenomenal food - definitely worth the price! We had the crab cakes and gnocchi as appetizers,... swordfish and duck confit as entrees, and cherry sorbet and chocolate mocha cake for dessert. Highlight of the meal was theduck confit -- the chef is so proud of it that he hands out cards with each one to keep track of how many he's served (I was #12,440). Also, do yourself a favor and get the chocolate mocha cake - one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. Read more
The service and food and kindness of the staff is just amazing as always. We love the consistency and quality of this wonderful... restaurant. We tried the Ahi tuna, gnocchi and smoked whitefish and of course the tater tots for our appetizers. Just light andwonderful. For main courses we tried the white, veal picatta and the halibut.
