Be warned $3 charge for ice if you like your drinks on the rock. Order a water since the ice cubes in the water are exactly the... same. They should at least not break it out as a line item, so they don?t have to insult the customer is paying for ice. Read more
We will never go back to this restaurant. The three of us ordered a sandwich with fries. The fries were COLD and SOGGY and DARK.... My friend told the waiter about the fries. A few minutes later he came back with hot fries. They were still dark looking and didnot taste good at all. I ordered a barbecue sandwich. It wasn't good at all. The pork was put on the SOGGY bottom of the bun andlittle bit of barbecue sauce was squirted on the pork. And then they put the top bun on. UGH! Listen to the other reviewers and do not eat here. My first clue to not eat here this evening should have been the menu. When I... flipped it over to look at the drink list, it was dirty, spotted with food. I chalked it up to the busy season, remembering I'veeaten here before (I've been coming up to GA for more than 12 years) and the food has been very good. Mistake. I asked thewaiter the special and he said "penne pasta with a vodka sauce and seafood, I think shrimp"...the description could have beenbetter, but it sounded good. Until it arrived. It was not penne pasta it was angel hair. Pieces of pasta were clumped together,the shrimp was chewy and the sauce tasted straight out of a Chef Boyardee can of spaghetti like I ate as a kid, runny, with nokind of alla vodka flavor. I also had to ask for bread, it did not come with any bread of any kind, garlic or otherwise. Thewaiter / manager asked how my meal was, and I expressed that it was not good. I had barely eaten any of it. He replied he'd takeit off of the special menu. Ok...Then I got the bill. $30. I was stunned. For soupy pasta that did not taste remotely good oreven look good for that matter. At all. When I expressed to the waiter / manager that I was not about to pay $30 for this meal,he left and returned to say the best he could do was comp me 20% off the bill. I was so frustrated, I just paid and left. But Iwill not be returning to The Western and I will be disputing this charge with my cc company. I told the "manager" on my way outthat when a guest expresses that the food is NOT good, you comp that meal, you don't hand over a 20% discount like you aredoing the customer a favor. I should have just gone to the PIne Cone for ice cream. It would have been a better meal. Lessonlearned. Read more
Waiter would not take time to recommend items on the menu. My white fish sandwich was not good. Meal was replaced, but waiter... started with condescending comments, calling me My Love and Darling. Would not go back. Read more
DONT GO HERE!!! Go somewhere else. Our server was Mario, never offered or asked to refill drinks. Absolutely terrible. The... pulled pork nachos were regular tortilla chips with melted cheddar cheese and pulled pork on them. Nothing else. The only decentthing was the Margherita pizza, which I didn?t get a picture of. Food was very tasty, service was excellent and food arrived promptly. Only complaint was the price. I had the prime rib sandwich... and although the meat was tasty, the sandwich had no sauce of any kind. Plain mayonnaise would have been better, but some kindof horse radish sauce would have taken it over the top. Read more
