This is a great place to have an event! We had such a wonderful experience with Mr. Rajeev Maini, Jose and the rest of the... staff. Mr. Rajeev Maini and his entire team were extremely professional, thorough and friendly. They listened to our vision,thoughts and concern. They made our vision come to light! FIVE STARS + !!! We recently hosted my mom's 60th birthday party here, and wanted it to be a bit extravagant. From the very... first day when we met the owners, Rajeev and Rekha, we were blown away by their hospitality! We searched for a few places, butThe Metropolitan by far is a unique and beautiful place with a wonderful layout, inside and out, and we immediately bookedit. But it didn't end there. Throughout the three months, Rajeev stayed in contact with us assisting us with every single partof the process. We've hosted multiple events in our lives, in many different venues on Long Island, and working with TheMetropolitan was a refreshing experience, setting an absolutely new level. They held our hand through the entire process offinding a DJ/MC, Caterer, Decor, and even helped us find a make up artist! Food was PHENOMENAL and the entire staff was alsovery caring, spoke kindly, and no ask was too big or small, they just handled it! The day off the event, Rajeev and Rehka becamea seamless part of the party, checking every detail and assisting us manage the entire event. They and their staff have anamazing ability to make sure every single guest feels welcomed and attended! If you're thinking about going anywhere else,don't. The experience I got from my cousin's wedding here was phenomenal! The environment overall was well assembled for excellent... acoustics, alongside beauty. The food was well served with full Indian authenticity (for my case). The staff members were quiteconsistent in delivering superb service. I felt that the wedding was certainly well planned with everyone who was involved inmaking the wedding happen. I will always have the fond memories that were formed here! Read more
Phenomenal food. Service was ABYSMAL. Took one hour to get first course, and two hours to receive entrée. Management claimed... that it was a busy night, but there was a total of maybe 25 people there concurrently with no table turnover AND we arrived whenthere was only 6 people in the restaurant. No concessions were made to make up the horrible service. IF they can fix theservice issue to where 25 total patrons doesn't cause their operation to crumble to the ground, I would consider returning, asthe food was excellent. Read more
I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Every bride is nervous about the details of her big day, the loose ends coming... together, and the vision of her dream wedding being orchestrated smoothly. From start to finish, our coordinator, Raj could nothave been more helpful, encouraging, and knowledgeable. He shared our own enthusiasm in planning our day, was consistent andprompt and went above and beyond our expectations. The staff was over accommodating and welcoming to all guests. The venue forall of our events were spectacularly designed with elaborate decor specific to our requests. Our needs of a classy yettraditional wedding was not only met but exceeded. The wedding process was made affordable and lighthearted! We selected awide variety of food options from several cultures and every guest said the food was sensational. Our guests also loved both thevegetarian and meat selections! The week after our wedding, my husband and I went back to sit with and properly thank Raj forall the care and dedication he put into making a masterpiece out of our day. My wife and I were visiting family in town, and chose The Metropolitan. After our first bite of the Chicken Pesto Pizza, we knew... we had made an excellent choice. My wife loved her Cucumber Elderflower Gimlet, and The Metropolitan cocktail goes down smoothand looks stunning with the smoke emanating from it. The chicken and pork chop were cooked perfectly. Mixed with the coolambiance and decor, we loved our experience there! We are definitely coming back with our family next time. Read more
An amazing place!! Hosted a party for moms surprise and the owners and staff took care of everything. From the great... decorations, to amazing food (have to recommend the fish and shrimp), and overall amazing staff. Event was for about 50 peopleand they accommodated so well. The managers even waited outside for the birthday girls car to come for her surprise. Absolutelybest place for events of all sizes. Now I know where I’ll be having my future bigger events.
