Ordered take out this time, got a re heat pie and garlic knots swimming in oil. The knots went right into the trash. The pie was... as good as a overcooked pie can be. The fresh pies usually are pretty decent, as is the food in the restaurant part in theback. Will eventually try again. Read more

Didn't enjoy my food from this place at all. The pizza tasted like cheap cheese and tasteless tomato sauce. As soon as I picked... up my slice all the pepperoni fell right off. The city of Glen Cove is being cheated of good NY pizza. Read more

I'm rather surprised, I always recalled Vito’s with great fondness. The place to go for a slice and a coke. Perhaps certain... locales are best experienced in person. Our delivery, sadly, was a lackluster experience. It lacked items, both a drink and thepaid addition of broccoli to a chick-parm roll... Though perhaps most aggregious, was the astoundingly subpar combination ofovercooked, yet cold, and overly greasy. The pizza all but oozes grease upon you, as if to resist your attempts atconsumption... Fear not, its smell lingers on your skin long after. I'm not richer having experienced this meal, literally andmetaphorically. The roll was a torturous affair, the litteral skin of my mouth ravaged by the hardened carapace of dough.Perhaps it was the artist's intention to serve it with overly watery sauce, so as to achieve some sort of unholy symbiosis ofdough and sauce. Clearly, not a match made in heaven. Read more

I like to call Vito’s Ristorante and Pizzeria “home” for several reasons. The food, hospitality and service make you feel... like you are sitting in your own dining room. We’ve been coming to Vito’s for years now and the food is always fresh, delicious and creative. Angela shares her recipes from her hometown in Sicily and we always look forward to something new on thedaily special menu. The prices are great for the amount of food you get…there’s always plenty and I take home my leftoversfor another meal. My favorite is the Chicken Sorrentino with red sauce…moist, tender chicken with thin slices of eggplant andprosciutto. Most recently my husband ordered the Chicken Daniela over Broccoli Rabe with shrimp, thinly sliced fried potatoeswith lemon wine sauce. All entrées are served with either pasta and your choice of sauce or salad. Order the salad with thehouse dressing…it is to die for and a secret recipe. I’ve tried to copy it but just can’t seem to get it right! Youcan’t go wrong with ordering anything from the menu…seriously. The pizza is crispy and delicious. We especially like theGrandma pie with its thin, crispy crust. Owner Mario (married to Angela) really knows how to make a pizza and is definitely thebest around. Their son Vito manages the restaurant and does a great job. Vito’s is a real asset to Glen Cove and a stand outamongst all the other Italian restaurants and pizzerias. They won the 2019 Best of Long Island in 5 categories for Wings,Mussels, Spinach Pie & Sausage & Pepper Sandwich as well as Best Dinner Deal. Every Tuesday is pasta night and you’ll get yourchoice of five or six different pastas, soup or salad and dessert and coffee for $12. Get there early as tables fill upfast. If you haven’t tried Vito’s, you don’t know what you’re missing…trust me. I look forward to returning thereweek after week. Read more

My dad loves Vito's. He orders from there at least once a week. I have also been impressed the 2 times that I have gone. The... pizza is way too crunchy for my taste(I had the chicken parm slice and the baked ziti slice). Their pizza seems to be much morethin crust than other pizzerias. The ravioli was pretty good, but was overcooked. When I would cut it and then try to pick it upwith my fork, it would fall apart before I could get it in my mouth. The bread that comes with the pasta is REALLY toasted. TheCaesar salad was excellent. The selection of gelato was also really good. Despite how full I was, I couldn't resist getting ascoop of Cookies and Cream gelato. Read more
