Reviews for Bonita Bowls in Glen Ellyn, IL

Food was decent and reasonably priced for poke. But the employees left something to be desired.. spent 15-20 mins at the counter... without being acknowledged, before having to ask for my food which had been ready since before I arrived. I think one lady fakeda phone call and left because she was not acknowledged either. Haphazardly tossing stuff in a bowl while socializing with theirboyfriends, instead of acknowledging customers is not a great look. Read more

Gave this place a try because I forgot Joy Bar is closed Sundays. Got the Green Lush bowl and was disappointed. It was 75% SUPER... sweet granola (basically candy) with a little bit of green slushy on the bottom. The fruit was fresh, though. $12 is more than Ispend I Joy Bar so I was expecting the quality to at least match, but I couldn?t even finish this. Edit: I?ve dropped my reviewanother star because of the incredibly unprofessional response. A smoothie bowl should not be mostly granola with a little bitof ice. I am well aware of how expensive ingredients are right now and I would gladly pay even more than $12 if I felt like Iwas getting more than sugar, oats, and ice. I agree that my opinion on the granola is based on my personal preference (which isa totally valid thing to include in a review?). I see that others have also posted complaints about the icy texture and were notreceived with such sass. I?m glad that you stand behind your product, but you clearly have a quality control issue, and I havenot been the only person to point it out. Read more

So many options and choices at Bonita Bowl. This was the first time we had been here and we will be back. Great place to hang... out, very clean and the staff very friendly. We did not know what to order and Brianna, a very friendly and knowledgeableemployee, recommended a few things to us and was she right on the money. It is hard to find good help these days and you have agreat one there! Because of her we will be coming back there more frequently! Read more

I was served soup. My order was ready late and my smoothie bowl was liquid. I had to blend it into a smoothie when I got home... because it was impossible to eat with a spoon & soggy granola isn't great. Read more

I was so happy to find a local acai smoothie bowl place, it was cute too?then i ordered and got my bowl. Not a smoothie bowl at... all. I ordered a green Pura Vida bowl and it tasted like freezer burned green ice. The consistency is totally off. it was allthe way ay the bottom buried under the old soggy looking strawberries. My husband ordered the the pitaya namba bowl and theconsistency and freezer burned taste was the same problem. Luckily we had a pink dream smoothie that we added to the pitaya bowlthat made it more of a better tasting ?SMOOTHIE? bowl. Read more

I ordered a custom poke with ponzu and Thai sauces/dressings on the side. Tuna and salmon as mixed proteins and cucumber,... edamame and mango combination. White rice base. I think it was close to the Japanese taste I am used to (minus mango and Thaisauce of course but that was part of the new experience) I may come back and try their non poke meals like waffles and smoothiebowls Read more
