Concise but delicious menu, quaint setting, ample indoor and outdoor seating. Wanted to go back before we even finished.

I booked a reservation on the Byrsa Bistro website over 3 weeks ago for my anniversary dinner at the Glen Mills location. I... selected the 6:30 time on New Years Day. I received a confirmation email and text that day. Two days before the reservation Ireceived a text asking me to confirm we were coming which I did. On the day of the dinner reservation at 6:00 I was sent areminder text to arrive in 30 minutes. We drive up to the restaurant and they’re closed. I double check reservation date, location, time. It’s all correct. I Google the restaurant and Google says they’re closed on New Years Day. First of all howwas able to make a reservation on Jan 1 if they’re closed. Second of all I know the restaurant sees each reset in their systemso why wasn’t I contacted 3 weeks ago to be notified. It’s absurd that we had to drive up to find out and if all nights itwas our anniversary. Very disappointed! Byrsa Bistro- Check your system or get a new one because it isn’t working. Read more

Hidden gem. We got a little lost. It is right across from the railroad station in a big house. We felt like we were in an old... saloon! The food was amazing. Everything seemed made from scratch. The paella was very filling, salmon cooked to perfection andour kids loved the pepperoni pizza. I was about to ask what winery the dry rose was from then noticed THEY HAVE THEIR OWNVINEYARD. Love this place. Didn't feel embarrassed by my loud children, despite the older crowd. I will be back! Read more

I really enjoyed the Mediterranean Sampler, my Seafood Paella and the packed the leftover Short Rib pizza for lunch the next... day. The location is really scenic and right next door to the West Chester Railroad Glen Mills station which my son loved. Read more

Had an amazing experience here for a friends birthday. We ate outside where you could see the creek and enjoy the outdoors. ... The Saturday fixed menu was amazing, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. I had the local mushroom soup and paellawhich was great, with plenty of seafood. Please put a prominent sign outside, I almost missed this place! I’ll be sure tocome back! Read more

Came to Byrsa for lunch while vacationing here in PA from NJ for a few days and had a really great experience! We ordered mixed... berry daiquiri's, lamb pizza, Mediterranean salad and hazelnut gelato... and everything was delicious! We sat out back on thegreen, just us 2 and it was beautiful. Food was delicious, staff was extremely friendly and hospitable and atmosphere was verypleasant. Really pretty house setting with large green yard. Overall 5 stars and definitely recommended for a nice, quiet lunchwith a view. Read more

Everything was super delicious! The stuffed grape leaves were the best I ever had in the Mediterranean appetizer. We got the... lamb shank and seafood Paella for dinner. And an espresso creme brulee for dessert. Read more

Kennett Square Location - Food was decent, although at the fine dining prices there are certainly other options in the KS area... for better quality at or below the cost of Byrsa. Appetizers were very good. Salads OK. Main dish flavors were good, but eachof the seafood dishes our table guest got were overcooked, and $26 for a small bowl of past bolognese brings down the rating. The server and bartender were pleasant enough, but apparently new to their jobs, with clearly neither being trained in even thebasics. The hardest to understand was the ambiance, the choice of cool color light bulbs instead of warm white gave everythinga too bright and harsh look. That, along with combining ultra modern art on the walls paired with an old wagon wheel, it ishard to understand what the intent really is. Nice that it was a no corkage charge BYOB that has a PA sourced only liquorlicense. Read more
