What a pleasure it was to dine here this evening! First time here and the service was great and the food was absolutely... delicious! The place is clean, the atmosphere is wonderful with the piano in the background. I noticed one thing, and that wasthere was not salt and pepper shakers on the table, and there's a good reason, you dont need them! The food is fresh andflavorful. This is not our 1st time at Fava. They are always consistent in food quality, friendly, and professional staff. Also the... restaurant is always very clean and neat Martin was our waiter last nite. He was so nice and informative. He made us feelvery much like he knew us his whole life. Jeannette made out Strawberry Foster table side, it was delicious. The food and service were top notch. We dined inside and ordered 2 Grilled Octopus apps that our 7 year old loved, branzino was... delicious and filleted table-side, lasagna, fusilli al forno, and a kids portion of pappardelle pasta with butter. Drinks were delicious. Had the New York Sour and some kind of homemade sorbet drink. The mushrooms risotto with duck was... fantastic. Highly recommend if it's on menu as a special. Awesome food and equally awesome service (Jennifer). We were staying at a nearby hotel due to lax tournament and just stopped by... and we were totally blown away. We had the Vongole, Pasta Special, and Filet as our main courses and they were all spectacular.To cap it off, we had the strawberry romanoff, which they prepare table side. ???? La Fava - Glen Mills. Don't let the strip mall location scare you. ???? We were delighted with complimentary bread with... springy and palate-pleasing dollop of fava bean puree. We ordered the Truffled Mac N Cheese, Octopus, Calamari, ???? EggplantParmesan Stack and Wildberry Sorbetto. All of which were extremely delicious. I did ask for no truffle on the Mac N Cheesesince I knew my son wouldn't like it (and he refused to eat it) so that was the one low point of the meal (although the rest ofus thought it was delicious and didn't send it back but just took it home to eat later) . My extremely picky shrunken humansurprised me by devouring my plate of ???? octopus.... so we ordered another one which he also mostly gobbled up! The outsideseating is quite lovely, with nice big red umbrellas, huge brightly ???? colored potted flowers and string lights which makefor a romantic evening.
