A group of 7 of us met around 11 am for breakfast/ lunch. 6 out of 7 went for breakfast and yours truly went for lunch. I had... the Jewish Sliders. Three mini Challah rolls filled with moist lean brisket, mini potato pancakes, and jack cheese. Served witha side of brown gravy and I had coleslaw as my side dish. I hadn't been to Chompie's in over 15 years . Back in the day, Iwasn't overly impressed with their food. I was hoping that this time around things would change. The whole group was very happywith their breakfast choices and I was very happy too with my choice. Looking forward to trying out their extensive menus. Read more

Chompies is a New York style deli and bakery serving breakfast and dinner. It is located inside the Arrowhead mall. I have... eaten at this location several times for both breakfast and dinner. The food is always excellent and I have not had a bad mealyet. It does seem to be busier for breakfast, but not so busy that you are waiting long. Service is good, never had any issueswith the service received. Read more

I?m told this is the best deli in Phoenix. If true then that?s very very sad. So far I?ve only found one deli in the Phoenix... area that?s worth the drive but this place isn?t. It?s very average for a deli. Mostly because in all the meat on my sandwich(turkey and Swiss on marble rye) all I could taste was the lettuce. I will say the bread, marble rye, was good. Not stale. Andthe Arnold Palmer I got was amazing. (I wish I?d have known I wouldn?t be getting a refill before my sandwich came though). Noteasy choking down a huge sandwich without even a water to wash it down. Anyway. I didn?t like whatever those onion ring thingsare called at all. And the ?chipotle ranch? that comes with is gross. I also tried the coleslaw and that was also a huge miss.Service was lackluster. One of my pet peeves is waiting. And waiting. For the check. I was hoping I?d finally found a real delion the west side. I guess the search still continues. Side note: very expensive. And before you @ me with ?you should haveordered the pastrami?. Maybe so. But a good deli has multiple good offerings. Not just one thing. Read more

This was the most awesome lunch we?ve had in our travels for the past four months. I?ve been looking for a kosher deli for all... this time and finally found one! Yay! The Reuben Sandwich was to dieeeee for. The matzo ball soup was delicious. Hubby had themeatloaf which was superb. We took items to go because we just know they too will be amazing. Thanks to this AWESOME KOSHERDELI. We?ll be back before leaving town! Went back a second time. I had the Matzo Brie, latkes, bagel and lox and hubby hadthe corned beef hash and egg breakfast. Took a ton of leftovers for later. Can?t wait to return one more time before headinghome. Came back our third and final visit and hubby had the liver and onions that he just loved. Thanks, Chompie?s, we lovedyou and are really going to miss you ???? Read more

My wife and I were immediately impressed with Chompie's. It has successfully kept its New York roots despite being located in a... mall in Glendale, AZ. The pickles alone are worth the effort and that is from a tepid pickle fan. Our entres were delicious andhuge at a modest price. We liked it so much we came back the next day for brunch. I highly recommend this to young and old, singles and large families. You'll most likely enjoy it as much as we did. Oh by the way we ended up buying another $30 worth ofpastries from their delicatessen cases at the front of the store. Read more

I love Chompie's! We typically go for lunch and get the Jewish Sliders and the Ruben - both which are absolutely amazing! But... this time we tried them out for breakfast. Their portions are large and quality of food is great. My only disappointment was howthe Lox was served. I figured the bagel would come put together with the Lox but was disappointed to find out that assembly wasrequired. The positive is that you're able to assemble the bagel with how you prefer but the downside is that you're having tospend 10 minutes assembling your breakfast before you can eat it. Having said that, the Lox was delicious and the quality wassuperb! Just a bit of a pain to put together! Read more
