So me and the wife stepped in on a Tuesday afternoon around 2 and the place was somewhat busy and that's a good thing. We sat in... the bar area and ordered our meals. The servers were more than patient and gave excellent service and were attentive. The foodwas absolutely delicious and tip top. I love Mexican restaurants and is my go to for a good meal and I ordered the taco withshredded beef enchilada. I have to say the food tasted absolutely fantastic and delicious. What impressed me most was theportion size, it was stupendous and a reason this place is now my new spot for go to Mexican. I used to be a hardcore Manuel'smexican goer but No Mas... Visited for the first time, had lunch. I will say the salsa is a must try, very good. I had the combo plate, enchilada, taco,... tostada, rice and beans with a side of jalapeno cream cheese. The host was terrible! If you don't like your job go get a different one! Me and her made eye contact. Nothing was said, so I... just walked to the bar area, ordered the 3 cheese enchiladas with an egg on top and got 3 cheese enchiladas with something ontop. We've been coming to Popo's for years! The service is always great and the food is delicious! When we have visitors in town,... this is where we go if they are craving Mexican food. The attached pictures are from our last visit which was this past Friday.We got there around 6:30pm. The wait to be seated was around 20mins. Which isn't bad for a Friday night. Once we were seatedsome immediately brought us water, chips and salsa. He also took our drink order. Well we were waiting for our drinks our servercame to greet us and confirm our drink order was taken. We order 3 soft drinks and a house margarita on the rocks. Not to longafter we placed our order. The food came out hot and fresh within 15 mins. We ordered a Cheese Crisp with added beans, theCarnitas plate and the Mix & Match with a Cheese Enchilada and a Bean Tostada. Everything was excellent. There was a bit of a wait but not too bad. Restaurant could have been a little bit cleaner. Our menus were dirty with salsa and... walls next to our booth were a bit dirty as well. Service was great. Food portions were big. Read more
A very friendly place, each and every person in the business that took care of me extremely pleasant. I felt the lunch combo... number one that I got was nice-sized and well-priced. Machaca taco and machaca enchilada were great. The server to that came bycame by frequently enough to serve me but not too much to be a bother. Read more
We sat in back of restaurant. That wasn?t an issue however it could use some cleaning. We ordered the #1 combo. Not a fan.... Refried beans appeared old. Or have been sitting in oven for extended period of time. The food was way to salty. Good indicatorthat much is canned. The beer was good. How does it get five stars?!?!?! Read more
We were seated within the 15 min waiting time started and the staff was very prompt. Food was delicious and larger portions... than we remember pre-covid, it was great coming back. Read more
