Pardon my french, but what the hell. First time visiting here and I have no idea what happened. No communication from the staff... about ordering. Got vegetarian tacos and after my order was taken down the line, it was returned to the starting point. No salsaoffered. We stood in line, waiting on our orders for almost 6 minutes. My boyfriend asked for salsa, and the attended walkedaway to verify it was okay with someone else?? Finally get up front and the poor guy checking us out misassumed our order forthe guy behind us, since his made it to the front before ours. I had to tell the guy what we ordered a couple times. We ended upwith vegetarian tacos, no salsa & a half serving of chips and queso. The whole experience made no sense. These people must beunderstaffed or inadequately trained. Please send them help. placed an order online which said pick up time 740 pm. Got there at 740 and no order on the pickup shelf , asked the person... behind the counter, who looked at the pickup shelf then looked at several paper and then headed to the back and returned to heroriginal task without saying a word about the status of my order. after 5 minutes I asked the same person, who then told me theyhadnt made it yet. I waited an additional 15 minutes before finally being told they ran out of chicken and were currently makingmore. 20 minutes later my food finally was ready, one of the items i ordered was nachos , on which i paid extra for cilantro,and extra sour cream, the was no sour cream and the cilantro was not cut at all and laying in huge piles in one spot on thenachos it was wilted and gross. They were looking closed, as the police gathered on the street and moved traffic everywhere, but they were OPEN! We ate in the... car after watching the clerk loose his mind dealing with my uninformed husband trying to order. Food is Great! Super sad to be giving this review. Cafe Rio is one of my favorite places, but the portions here aren?t on par with other... locations. There?s one particular employee that skimps on everything. I figured the first time was a fluke but this is the thirdor forth time this has happened. These are half of the portions I usually receive, mind you this photo is after I had to askfor extra meat, and still not as much food for the same price. It?s extremely frustrating. Even as I write this I hear someonein line right now asking for extra meat. I think the manager or whoever is at the cash register even recognizes it because herung me up and didn?t charge me for the extra meat after the employee that served me called it out. That?s twice in a row thishas happened where I wasn?t charged in spite of the little extra meat foil they have to add. Bless the man at the register forhooking it up. And if it?s a known issue it needs to be rectified. I shouldn?t have to ask for extra everything to get what I, aCafe Rio regular, would consider a normal serving.
