Went to all order by touchpad no one seats you u get your food at the station when it's ready. The food was good but was... disappointed ?????? with the ambiance of the place i always loved coming here for the atmosphere even the drinks are now instyrofoam. Steak and shake change the dining. There are no waitress awaiters you can order your food through your app or their machine... takes cash and credit cards. As basically you serve yourself. No waiting for a waiter or waitress to come to your table to askfor your order. No mistakes on your food that you ordered because you pick it yourself. I want how long this will last. Read more

Went in at 10:45. Only 2 people working. Food was incredibly fresh. Everything was made perfect. And it came out so fast for how... many orders they had coming in. Read more

It was half price happy hour for the shakes. Food was freshly made to order. There really wasn't much service. We had to order... aon a kiosk and go pickup our order at the counter when name was called. Not very crowded. Read more

OMG what happened to Steak and Shake. I used to love this place and now they've ripped the entire soul out of it. First of all... it's a skeleton crew. The servers are gone. You place your order via a touch screen at the entrance. This makes ordering a bitmore time consuming and not as pleasant. You can't ask questions about the menu items. You then sit down and hope the table isclean. They tell your number and you go up and get your food. You get all your condiments, forks, knives and sit down. Theburgers are so thin now, felt like I was eating cardboard. Fries where meh, and no more mixed banana and vanilla shakes. Theyeven had a scam claw machine in the corner to attract my kids attention and make them lose their money. In all seriousness whathappened to Steak and Shake. It's a shell of its former self. Even the walls have paintings of better times in the 50's and60's. The ceiling panels where yellow, floor was a bit dirty, staff consisted of only 2 people. Customer service no longerexists. This will be my last time coming to Steak and Shake. Culver's is more what it used to be. Sad to see this place fallapart. Read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was by far my worst experience with steak n shake ever. I placed a mobile order to... ensure my order was accurate and that I was charged accordingly. When I went to pick up my order, there was a car in front of meand they took 2 - 5 mins. Once I got to the window my name was confirmed, I was given a bag, the drive thru window was closed onme, and the manager walked away from the window leaving me sitting there for another minute. Then a car pulled behind me and themanager saw I was still at the window. When he opened it, I told him that I was not given my drink, I want it without ice, myfood was cold, and I wanted the meal remade fresh. He then asked to see the receipt, said ok, and made my drink. When I receivedmy drink I reminded him that my food was cold and no longer met foodservice safety standards, being left out, not warming formore than 20 minutes. The time frame for the order to be made was 10 - 15 minutes. He refused to acknowledge the food safetyissue and essentially told me it was my fault the food was no longer hot, that they are not responsible for serving fresh foodonce it's bagged, and that I would have to reorder the meal and pay again to receive my order again at that time. After askingfor a fresh kids fries at least and being denied that with the same response, the manager walked away visibly frustrated and thecook came to the window asking what the issue was. I told him and was told they can't do anything about it. I asked for a refundand was told I needed to request a refund in the app since that's how the order was placed. If there is a corporate office forsteak n shake, I would like this terrible experience acknowledged and a refund because the food I received did not meetfoodservice safety standards, I could not warm it up myself because I was an hour away from my destination, this set my scheduleback half an hour, and the manager was extremely unprofessional and uncompromising. No more waiters, frustrating touch screen menus. Floor was absolutely filthy. Ordered incorrect items sure to lack of anyone... taking order. Will not return to a Steak and Shake until they get rid of self service and clean the restaurant. Read more

It's been a while since I've been here. Now that they've streamlined the ordering process, service is super fast and food is... exactly what you order. The workers there are still amazing and the one went above and beyond for us when we were there so thewhole experience was still great. I am sad however that they got rid of the chicken fingers as that was my favorite and idk howlong ago they did that as the last time I went was before COVID. Read more
