Docs is a lovely environment with amazing food. I truly feel bad for the staff in the kitchen. The head chef (Matt) is extremely... rude and belittle?s his staff. Staff workers work over 10 hrs a day and receive no breaks. Staff have been lied to and overlooked when asked about meal breaks. One of the best proper restaurants I've been to in a while. The food is a bit overpriced in my opinion but then i don't know... much about cooking anyhow. At least the food here is actually good (I'm looking at you Mint). The atmosphere is the realwinner here. We ended up just sitting and chatting for an hour and a half. We had a wonderful meal for my birthday. Chef Jess surprised us with a special entrée and then a surprise cake at the end. All... the food was amazing and the staff (server Tyler and host Brian) were super. A must place to go in Glens Falls. Read more
After three nights in Glenns Falls for work, I decided hotel food was getting old, and I wanted a proper meal. A quick search... revealed Doc?s, and the 5 star rating set it apart from most other options around (though overall I find most eateries in townto look and smell enticing). I had to see if it lived up to its online reputation - in short, I am stuffed, in adelicacy-induced stupor, with no doubt I?ll be dreaming about horseradish mashed potatoes (the perfect bedding for braised shortrib) and apple cider doughnut bread putting (yes, you read that correctly) tonight. My only disappointment is that my wifewasn?t on this work trip with me so that we could have shared plates and tried more of what the menu offered. I think I?m goingback tomorrow, for a Manhattan and this autumn salad I was eyeing from across the room. The service was friendly, attentive,and fast. Amidst these times of Covid I felt safe and comfortable. The prices are so reasonable, I can only ask that you tipgenerously because the food is worth more than they?re charging... and I appreciate that. AMAZING! Every little detail was thought out. Menus, service, Friday night live music, food presentation. Romantic outdoor... patio. Rich food bursting with flavor. We ordered the wonderful lobster corn chowder, delicious artichoke dip, creamy cremebrulee, and the juicy ribeye steak. Good portion sizes and very hospitable staff. Read more
This is a undiscovered jem. Great food...love the wings. Beautiful spiral stair case down to this great restaurant below the... park street theatre. There is also patio seating. Great service also. $$ Read more
From the delicious food and attentive waitstaff to the upscale atmosphere the whole experience here is 5 stars. Our waitress was... extremely attentive, professionally and offered great suggestions.
