Here's the thing- - the food isn't the problem. It's pretty tasty, cheap and plentiful. I love the soup. I've been taking my... family there for 6+ years. So, that's all fine. But, I totally believe that the atmosphere and "feel" of a place also factorsinto my overall enjoyment of it. It goes beyond the food, especially in these days where money is so much tighter, and I'vefinally reached my tolerance limit. The owner is obviously entitled to his personal politics, regardless of whether or not Iagree with him. But, what I don't think he should do is yell those views out loud all across the room, while using pretty foullanguage. I also don't care for the way he belittles the waitresses, again out loud in front of everyone. I don't treat mykids like little fragile darlings, but I can do without them being subjected to major profanity, you know? Yes, it's his place,and I suppose it's his choice if he cares to have a political "shrine" at the register. But, it's my choice as to whether togive him my hard-earned income and have to be subjected to his bigoted personal litany, and I choose not to. Read more
This place is only getting 2 stars because the food is actually pretty decent. However they have an actual shrine set up in the... store to the previous president. I don?t care about the owner?s political beliefs, but no business should have a cult likeshrine to a political party. It creates an unwelcoming environment to over half of the population.
