Took my wife here for lunch. We live close by and had seen the building going up. The simple metal roofed stripmall building... put us off for a while so we stayed away. However the sort of rustic/country European decor on the inside was a nicesurprise. We ordered the stuffed peppers appetizer and two pasta dishes. The food was well prepared, tasty, and frankly one ofthe better Italian meals we've had in Pittsburgh. We have not been very impressed with the Italian options in the area by butthis was a pleasant surprise. The prices were quite reasonable for the quality of the dining. We'll be back forsure. Definitely recommended. Read more

My wife and I, along with our best friends? family, stopped in for dinner a couple weeks back. We were a large group and we... were given a very generous table in the front of the restaurant and were treated by the hostess and wait staff in a very cordialand welcoming manner. We had previously only eaten outside during the summer but enjoyed the atmosphere inside as well. Ourappetizers and desserts were outstanding and were generous in portion size; however, the entrees stole the show. They wereperfectly prepared and presented and they were large enough for a second meal the next day (which was amazing as well). Themost enjoyable part of the dinner was when the Operator, Jason Grant, stopped to talk with us for a moment. He made us feelvery welcome, explained the dishes for some of us, and he made such an impact in us that we will be back regularly and with moreand more friends. We all get the same and we?re talking about our experience for the last couple weeks. Read more

This establishment features the best of the best ingredients locally sourced fresh and flown in straight from Italy. Truly... something here for everyone. Don?t think just of the off the charts delicious woodfire pizza, Il Pizzaiolo is so much more thanthat. The Antipasto Napoli features a delightful mix of perfectly seasoned and grilled vegetables for the vegan and gluten-freediner. As General Manager Jason B. Grant explained, the buffalo mozzarella, burrata and ricotta are flown in fresh from Italy. Ihad the pleasure of experiencing the light as a feather, homemade spinach and ricotta stuffed Tortellini in a light cream sauce. These cloud-shaped morsels virtually floated off the plate. And of course, you should not forgo tasting the generous meal-sizedTutto Polpette (meatballs) appetizer. Sarah Kennedy, the master mixologist, applied her craft skillfully, with her signatureBasil Pear Martini. All in all, a real gem located in the hills of O?Hara Township. Certainly deserves a 10 star rating! Read more

Awesome wood fired pizza and Italian food. They make all their own pasta as well. Bolognese was exceptional, noodles cooked... perfectly. We ended up getting 3 different pizzas, margherita, salsiccia, and montanara. Each distinctively different anddelicious. The lasagna with sausage was outstanding. The San marzano tomato sauce was perfect. Even the bread was well made.Would have been nice if the olive oil for the bread had been infused with herbs. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. Therestaurant itself looks like nothing special on the outside but beautiful on the inside. Tastefully elegant without goingoverboard. There is a bar as well as outdoor seating with an outdoor fire place. Read more

Do you like burning your cash? Are you fond of taking money out of your wallet and throwing it out your window? If so, this... place is for you! I ordered a take out order, pizza, pasta, mixed salad (small size). By the way, the online menu convenientlydoesn't list any prices... The pasta was "pomodoro" - so simply tomato and spaghetti. That's it. The pizza cost $18. Not great, but its good pizza. The spaghetti? $21. I saw it on my bill and asked it it was a mistake. Nope! The same pasta at Enrico'swould be 50% less easily. Was it a giant portion? Nope. Both staff members agreed that the price was ridiculous. My total 3small items was $55. Did the spaghetti have truffles on it? Gold shavings? Was it blessed by the Pope? I want this place tosucceed - I like the interior, the location, and that they're bringing good Italian food to the area. But the prices areoutrageous. They lost a customer. Read more

Fantastic pizza in a beautiful space. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is a gem of a restaurant. The pizza... is the best authentic Italian pizza in the city, and their pasta dishes are outstanding as well. The gnocchi is almost fluffy. The sauces are subtle and bright. If you're just going once, though, get the Margherita DOC pizza. It's traditional and freshand amazing. Read more
