My husband and I used to loved this place. It has a great atmosphere and some vegetarian options. We haven’t been here lately... because the prices have gone up. It was cold and rainy so we gave it a try again. The food was still pretty good, but expensive.The fries were obviously rewarmed in the oven. We went from loving this place to thinking it’s just ok. I've been wanting to try their food for the past about three years, my second time in the establishment and first time trying... it. I went Sunday afternoon. They have brunch open till 3 PM. And dinner starts at 4. The menu was a bit smaller than the dinnermenu. however, everything was perfect waitress was helpful. Seating is nice multiple TVs to enjoy the game the food was greatand in all around beautiful atmosphere. When I arrived I was told that I couldn’t be seated without a reservation because they were short staffed and wasn’t... accepting walk ins. After explaining that I tried to reserve on OpenTable but it suggested I call them. And when I called themearlier I was told to just come. So they made an exception I was told and seated me. The service was awesome, my waitress wasreally attentive. The food was surprisingly very tasty! I ordered the petite filets entree. Mash potatoes were incredible,veggies on point but my steak was a little too chewy and I order mines medium. The mussels with the garlic sauce was great! Nowthose Hawaiian sliders, omg they were so good! Made with real ham! (See photo) My cocktail was also amazing! First one wasreally good, the second one was really strong???? Went to Bernie's to try someplace new. Upon seating, we noticed quite a few flies near our table. Our waiter pleasantly seated... us outside since it was a nice evening. The tables outside were a bit wobbly despite attempt to balance them. Our appetizerwas good. My hubby ordered the chicken Marsala. He said it lacked flavor. I really like some of the food at this restaurant - the poutine, Mac and cheese, and encrusted goat cheese are all excellent.... However I wouldn't get the crab cakes again. The ambiance is great. I love the option to sit outside (with heat lamps when it'scolder) and the decor is relaxing. Service is on the slower side so I wouldn't go if you're in a time crunch, but the atmospheremakes the wait fine. Keep the wait in mind with small kids though. The inside has so much ambient noise that I didn't mind ifthey got a little impatient. It didn't seem noticeable. But the wait can be stressful if you aren't sure how your kids willmanage. Read more

This is my second time coming to this restaurant and I would absolutely NOT recommend! The first time I came I was with a big... party, so I thought they just didn’t know how to service a big party. The second time I came I was with a party of 3. Iliterally had to get up from my table to ask for utensils, and sugar for my coffee. My waitress was nonchalant and didn’treally care to service us (no apology for the lack of service)I asked for my eggs to be scrambled soft and they were burnt. It took me 3 times to finally be able to eat at Bernie's and it was ok. First time I went right before 3p and was told they... don't seat people between 3-4 since they are changing over, Second time there were too many large parties and they didn't haveany more reservations, this Third time I got in but was almost turned away because there were more large parties and not enoughstaff....was told to eat at the bar if we wanted to stay. After seeing people being seated after we were told we couldn't be, wementioned that and was able to get a table and be served by a very good waitress. I don't know if I have a desire to come backhere anytime soon or at all, but it was nice to finally try the food. Read more

I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy but nonetheless the service was great. The food was tasty and well priced. I... ordered a side of sausage and the Big Guy which came with French toast, 1 pancake, bacon, eggs, and home fries. I love howcrispy the home fries were and the portions of the sausages. They also serve alcohol! I highly recommend making a reservationbefore coming. Also the address on the site is wrong and the gps took me to a high school. The address on google is correct. Itwas inconvenient and annoying that the business website had the wrong address but thankfully I didn’t have to drive far to thecorrect address. Read more
