I will start out that I have managed two cafes...I have NEVER had one employee in ten years talk to customers the way this place... allows . Orders are constantly wrong, cold, and every employee has zero customer service. They are a neighborhood business and Ihave tried my best to support them but I can no longer. I would in NO WAY say to order here. Also if you're from long island orsomewhere that actually likes a good red sauce this is the last place to order from,I almost vomited! Straight tomato paste! Ridiculously bad!!! I had a delivery of a pizza and wings? ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT HAVE BEEN WORSE! Half cooked, all raw dough and... unmelted cheese!!! I called because I?ve had good experiences in the past dining there; this is the SINGLE WORST PIZZA I HAVEEVER HAD IN FRONT IF ME!!! The only thing worse than the pizza were the 4 people that I had to speak with (they only have 4employees) to have the pizza replaced because accident?s happen; after 49 minutes on the phone and being disconnect twice andtold twice refund wasn?t possible, I have been promised a refund. This is a nice little restaurant on Rt 50 on the northern edge of East Glenville. It has three components: a sit down... restaurant, a takeout deli/mini specialty grocery, and an ice cream stand. * The restaurant has a simple but wide comfort foodmenu. The cook is flexible and willing to make modifications to menu items if you stick to ingredients from other dishes on themenu. * The deli offers macaroni salad, ice cream bars and pints of ice cream for take out. * The ice cream is popular in thesummer with out door window service and out door seating. Note that the variety of flavors starts out very large at the onset ofthe summer, and declines as the summer end approaches. Service is good in all three sections and prices are also reasonable. For the price of a large in my overpriced, fancy pants town, I accidentally bought 24 cuts. Because it's so delicious, and they... are so generous with their toppings, I ate and ate and ate. If anyone needs me I will be in a food coma for the rest of thenight - and I'll have more than enough to share as I drive back home tomorrow, so wave at me if you see me on the Mass Pike andI'll toss you a slice. I had not been to Marcella?s in a couple of years and I will not allow that to happen again? unbelievably awesome experience as... the menu had so many choices that it took us all so long to choose. Next the food was unbelievable of course we ordered too muchbut we happily took the leftovers home and ate them in the same night when the bill came we were stunned at how low it was andthe service was a young girl that said she was still in high school even though she was such a very professional and very sweetwaitress. All around perfect! Not to mention the unbelievable ice cream sundaes we had and then we took home one of thosepackages it has the six ice cream sandwiches with her homemade ice cream I ate all six of them in two days they were sodelicious. Not an exaggeration, Marcella's has one of the best soft serve ice creams I've ever had (and I've tried A LOT of places). My... go-to order is a chocolate cone with chocolate sprinkles or dip -- fantastic! Recently I asked for a twist with halfsprinkles/half dip and the girl behind the counter indulged my request kindly! Note that this review is based on ice cream, as Ihaven't had their food in years. Have to downgrade my review. After going here for years the food has always been great. What hasn?t been great in recent visits... is the constant price increases (weekly) and 4% credit card charges. I understand inflation and the pandemic causes food pricesto rise but not to the extent that Marcella?s is attempting to charge. Almost every time we order every dish has gone up by likea dollar from the week before. Their parm night use to be affordable at 10.99. Then it went to 12.99 then 14.99 and now it?s at$16.99. St that price it isn?t a special it?s regular price. Add their new 4% fee for using a card and now it?s even moreexpensive. We use to order almost once a week but now it?s once a month if that.
