My first experience with dining at El Rey was in 1951 as my Uncle took us the for fishing trips to Roosevelt Lake and White... I would like to think we know quite a bit about Mexican food. Having said that, we were very impressed. The service was fast and... extremely friendly. The carne asada tacos were some of the best we ever had. The meat was delicious and they used fresh cheeseinstead of the traditional canned cheese. The frijoles (refried beans) were second to none. And the sopapillas with eitherhoney, raspberry or caramel are a must. Read more

This place has some of the finest Mexican food in the Globe area. I HIGHLY recommend trying it.
Tried the new Christmas Pizza at the Cantina! Cauliflower crust (you can?t even tell) with red and green chili, beans, cheese... and pico! Such a great combination!! Read more
