We came around 4pm for a dinner on Sunday, was no wait. Place started to get more crowded towards 5:30. I got a seafood... cataplana that tasted great - just a little spicy. My party members got daily specials and their meals tasted great as well. Theinside is well styled and comfortable. Our server was polite and explained menu options. Coffee wasn’t bad but my latte had nofoam at all. Surprisingly prices weren’t high. Would come back ! Read more

Amazing Azorean food. Seafood trio was so fresh. The octopus was incredible. The Azorean pizza was unique and so delicious and... the flan was just like my grandmother used to make when we were growing up. Read more

Come here. A great menu and a great bar. Portugal in Gloucester. Care to be adventurous? Ask for the grilled sardines, they're... not on the menu. Read more

This is the kind of food I wish more restaurants had! Simple ingredients packed with flavor. Traditional Fava beans and little... neck clams, fantastic Azorean soup and salad with a seafood cataplana and grilled octopus we had to take home. Read more

Highly recommend this spot! Really beautiful interior, unique menu items, great staff. I got the Lisbon Octopus. My first time... ever trying octopus and it was amazing A simple dish, no sauce, it just sits in a garlic oil herb mix. The texture was whatbrought it from good to delicious, it had a tasty exterior crunch and a tender inside, no rubbery feel at all. The potatoes werea good palette cleanser but could have used more spice or kick. Overall super satisfied. Read more

This place was a very pleasant surprise, because we originally tried going to Passports Restaurant in the Gloucester, but gave... up after sitting at our table for a half hour waiting to give our drink order. Luckily we quickly found that Azorean Restaurant& Bar was close by and loved the experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the door by friendly faces who immediately sat usdown in the dining area without a reservation. The place was pretty busy for a Sunday night, and the environment consisted ofhappy families laughing, the clinking of friends toasting with cocktails, and the beautiful wall to wall Portuguese decor. Thewhole vibe felt like a big warm hug. Despite being extremely busy, our waitress greeted us almost immediately and took ourdrink orders. To our surprise, our cocktails quickly arrived and the waitress was ready to take our orders. I commented abouthow she must have her hands full, because I watched her check in with each table on her way out, and on her way back. But shehad a great optimistic point of view, and said something funny to make us all laugh. She definitely contributed to the wonderfulexperience we had here. My cocktail was the Cool As A Cucumber, which I've had at other places, and it was just as good here.Cucumber vodka, St Germain, and lime make up the core of this refreshing drink. Along with that, I decided to try the LinguicaWith Pineapple. To my surprise, it was very similar to kielbasa with a mild spicy finish, but it was not greasy at all. It wasgrilled beautifully, and each bite with a little bit of pineapple was an exceedingly pleasant experience. I would order thisagain in a heartbeat. For my main course I had the Chicken Medallions with Butternut Squash Ravioli. It was preparedbeautifully, in a wine cream sauce that had walnuts and dried cranberries. Definitely on the sweet and savory side of dinners, Ireally enjoyed this, and was practically licking my plate when finished. My friend ordered the Azorean St Read more

Let me start I was so happy that I chose this place as we had a lot of options here. This was our First time trying Portuguese... food. Wonderful interiors and we reached just before the rush hours so was seated immediately and parking was available justoutside the place. Our waitresses was nice and friendly and the staff here is also friendly. We ordered the fish cakes forstarters it was so nice, fresh and crispy. The cocktails were also very nice totally worth the price. For mains we had salmonand the branzino fish ( this is from the special menu) and it was totally worth it. The Mohilo Vilo sauce was just so perfect! It went great with the fishes. The best part was the dessert, it was best part of the day. Anyone who loves chocolate go forit ~Chocolate Decadence. It was the best dessert I had in a while. Would highly recommend this place if you are in Gloucester.Worth every penny! Read more

Very interesting restaurant serving food that most Americans have not tasted before but has a rich history going back hundreds... of years. I had the haddock Portuguese style and it was very tasty. In Gloucester you can never go wrong having haddock. Therestaurant is clean and very comfortable. The waitstaff are super friendly and helpful with food suggestions. This is a popularplace with the locals and now my family. Enjoy a great restaurant in Gloucester! Go and enjoy great food! Read more
