Absolutely amazing experience! I had my wedding here at El Mazaj and I have no words other than perfection for this experience.... From the food, to the staff that are dedicated and so helpful with everything and anything you need for your wedding/event. Itis easily noticeable that Jean, the owner and wedding organizer, loves what he does and is passionate about organizing the bestnight possible for you and your guests. My husband and I had our wedding here last night and it was amazing. The staff are so helpful and put all their focus on making... sure everything is perfect. Jean in particular helped us so much with planning this wedding, he was so honest and dideverything he could to make this wedding a night to remember!! It was very well organized, guests had no issues finding theirseats, the staff made sure everything was on time (our walk-in, first dances, cake cutting) and it all went by so smoothly. I came for a wedding reception. The place was great. Only thing I don't like is the cushions on the chairs come off super easily... and if you're not paying attention you can easily hurt yourself. The food was excellent, so many things were brought out to thetable. Music was great and the party atmosphere was amazing as well. Read more
My first time here despite hearing a lot about this place. Attended a wedding. Excellent customer service - super friendly... staff. The appetizers were delicious and they had a large variety to offer. I would recommend for anyone looking for a smallhall for any occasion. Wonderful! Read more
We just had my brothers wedding here on July 1,2022. The whole staff and owner were absolutely amazing to work with, the chef... made the most delicious bbq, the meat especially was cooked to perfection and was the softest meat I have ever tried in Ottawa.It?s incredible. The food, atmosphere, kindness of the staff and hospitality deserves even more than 5 stars. I highly recommendthis place for any event or wedding. It?s truly amazing. We had our daughter's 2nd birthday + baptism at El Mazaj and it went off without a hitch! Jean and his staff are so kind and... extremely accommodating. The food was so great! Very fresh, flavourful and hot. Everyone loved it. We will definitely be back.If you're looking for a venue to host your event, look no further. El Mazaj is the best Lebanese restaurant in the city. I had dinner with friends at Elmazaj last night. The food is authentic and of high quality and the staff are supper friendly and... helpful. The owner was out taking care of the customers and making sure they are happy. The band created a lively atmosohere andmade the evening super "dancey". I gave it 5 stars because of all the above but I have one critique. The music was way too loudand made it impossible to socialize. Maybe the management can consider lowering the volum a bit ( a lot really) because I amstill hearing whisteling in my ears. That will make me go there more often for sure. Read more
We held my sisters wedding ceremony with El Mazaj and we could not have been more satisfied with how it went. The event was set... up perfectly and on time, the coordination was professional, smooth, and could not have been a better experience for us. We hadJean and his staff team treat us like family the whole night as they served us the most amazing food and made sure everythingwas going as planned and that everyone was satisfied. Not only did we have an amazing time, it was such a good feeling to hearmy family, friends, and other guests come up to me to THANK US for bringing them to such a nice place with the nicest staff andamazing food.
