I've not dined in, only ordered thru DoorDash or takeout and picked up myself. The waitresses seem distracted every time I go... in. Not sure how service would be dining in. Food has always been excellent. Our favorite, chicken taco salad. Simplemeal-lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and chicken in a tortilla bowl. Shredded chicken makes this perfect. Their salsa andwhite sauce, along with chips, comes with every order. I love their version of the white sauce. We've had different enchiladasand burritos and those have been just as tasty. I was pleasantly surprised to find very tasty Mexican food in rural Virginia. The tortilla soup was particularly good. The... carnitas were tender, juicy, & well seasoned. The chicken fajitas were also juicy & well seasoned. The portions are verygenerous. There was no way we could finish it all. The margarita was very nice with a decent amount of alcohol. I'm surethey'll all be just as excellent tomorrow. My only issues were small... The soup came after the rest of my meal. They didn'tbring tortillas with the meal, & either the rice or beans (it was hard to say) were kind of sweet. I didn't expect that. Willdefinitely come again the next time we're in the area. First time trying Los Portales, I think I found my new favorite restaurant in Gloucester. Food was 10 out of 10. Service was... excellent and the staff were all very friendly. Large portions so expect to take some home. The prices are good especially whenyou consider how much you get. For my family of 5 I spent more at other places but did not get near the amount of food or asgood of service. I would give more stars if it was possible! Read more
Been going here since they opened up and loved it ever since. Place is more authentic than the others in the area but I am a... little dissapointed with the latest meal. I bought tacos al pastor and a horchata. Cost $20 and recieved about $5 (minus thedrink) worth of tacos. Read more
