3 times I order takeout. 1st two times items were wrong or missing. Third time got the wrong order. Took it back and I was... screamed at for taking wrong bag. I walked in, told them my name and took the bag they handed me - how is that my fault? Willnot be back. Read more

Sat at the bar on a late Saturday for some margaritas and some food. The house made chips and guacamole were spot on. Queso... Fundido w/ chorizo was great. Nice consistency of melted cheese and ground sausage. The Vera Cruz crispy chicken Caesar saladwith cilantro ranch dressing was awesome. Chicken was tossed in a honey Chipotle sauce, the cilantro dressing brought a nicerefreshing balance to the salad and heat from the chicken. Prices for the food was great, very reasonable. Cocktails and Beerprices are alot vheaper than most places. $3 domestic bottles. $4 import bottles. Authentic Mexican Cuisine. I will definitelybe going back. Staff was great, the owner even chatted with us at the bar to make sure everything was good and that we had anice experience. Read more

To my surprise , this place is fantastic . It used to be called CAPS Bar & grill . There used to be an open mic at this CAPS. ... Back then it was a local dive that put out music from musians at that open mic . Well now it's no longer a dive and it's fixedup beautifully . The food is all authentic Mexican . OMG I had the steak chimichanga is was out of this world great. I let theowner know about when I lived in California and worked for Budweiser, for lunch I'd stop a this tiny lil build the size of asmall bathroom , that had 2 giant vats . One with chicken one with beef. They made burritos , chimichangas etc. Huge also enoughfor 2 people . Well that night at jalapenos it was a flash back to the California and the authentic Mexican food I got there .I was in total AWE!!! I so wanted to have the fried cheesecake . But the kitchen was closed . Next time for sure . If you likedAuthentic Mexican food , this lil gem in Glouster City is the place to go. They have a dining room , and a bar , also a fewtables by the bar . They have a band called Pigs on the Wing that plays there Tuesday nights . Thursday night is the open mic .I heard it real crowed that night . So go early do you can eat before the open mics gets started . Kudos to the new owner forfixing that lil dump into a Gem with very very good food . Read more

Food was bland, cold, and disappointing. I should not have to add seasoning to my tacos from a Mexican restaurant!! Dry,... tasteless chicken; cold flimsy tortillas; watery salsa. Extremely upsetting to receive plain boiled chicken that were passed offas Mexican tacos. Taco Bell has better seasoned meat than this imposter of a restaurant. Take your money elsewhere! Read more
