Taste like they haven?t flavour the rice. So average in taste at best. The ingredients are fresh. I ordered the rainbow roll and... the daily special which costed a bit more than $31. Unfortunately the tempura shrimp inside is not freshly fried because it?snot crispy at all. The batter is stale which effected the overall texture greatly. Read more
My family and I eat at this restaurant every summer and we look forward to it every time! The fried dishes are always crispy and... the sushi is fresh and delicious. West Sushi is awesome! The food is always fresh and very well presented. The tea is my favourite.. so yummy and full of... flavour. I have had the opportunity to meet the owner - she is lovely! and extremely accommodating as we have some dietaryrestrictions in the family. I really wanted to like it but after taking a few bites I tossed it all in the garbage. I showed up to pick up my order and it... hadn?t started being made yet. I ordered a yam avo roll and instead I got two rolls (fine) except as you can see they lookawful. I ordered a miso soup and never in my life have I seen miso soup that is dark brown (it?s normally a very light browncolour) and it tasted horrible. I also ordered chicken gyoza which I watched the woman who was working the cash run and get themout of the freezer, pull her mask all the way down and make. I always gauge who good a restaurant is by how well they prepare and cook vegetables, even before I became a vegan. Finding... authentic Asian food is difficult enough in these rural areas. Jane (chef/owner) has great passion and loving care and it showsin the details and quality of the dishes. My wife tells me the seafood is lovely and to our mind, comparable to restaurants inToronto. We especially love to order take out and have a sushi picnic at the beach. It's a godsend. Read more
