I give them the benefit of the doubt on service, while the bartender was handling multiple jobs and was great with... recommendations it's either short staffed or maybe just bit off towards end of night after a long day. I first started with the charred octupus appetizer and coffee. The coffee was somewhat strong but not too aromatic or flavorful, just fresh regularcoffee. Which was not bad and wouldnt expect something too fancy from this western style restaurant. The octupus!? Was off thecharts, my only concern was an intial fishy whiff but perhaps my ultra sense of smell just adjusted . Was just that initially. Ioriginally though the portion was tad on smaller side, however it was a good portion ,perhaps bit deceiving due to longer plateand somewhat filling as had seemed some pieces of steak and a not sure what type of beans similar to Peruvian beans base. Thisis the best octupus I've had. The flavors and texture were well balanced while not overpowering the delicious Octopus. Readsome reviews saying food is bland, not sure what exactly bold flavors they're seeking not all food requires bold flavors, maybeit's best to ask for dishes with strong seasoning? When it came to dish I ordered trout forgot the exact name. It was deliciousand while it came on what seemed a gigantic mountain of corn with bacon I finished every last bit of it because it was alldelicious. That trout and that corn wirh bacon 5+ stars. Since I was so impressed and despite being quite full I figured mightas well have dessert not only dessert because I love ice cream and while the ice cream was normal I very much enjoyed it as I'mnot into overly sweet desserts. To clarify..never understood why some seemed to make a big deal about key lime pie. If you tooare the same I think this key lime pie will make you a believer like it did me. While the key lime pie was perfectly balance andI was full the ice cream I like to think helped clean my pallette to be able to eat every bit of it a Read more

Loved this spot! Had some great localish flavors and mountainy vibes. We went for breakfast and got sat right away outside. I... enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was very good too. The prices were about average, but well worth it for the quality ofthe food. I got the breakfast margarita and it was very refreshing. It perhaps could have been slightly stronger, but hey it wasonly 10am... we got the chicken biscuit and chicken and waffles. The chicken biscuit was really tasty and light. The quality ofbiscuit was nearly perfect. Personally I got the chicken and waffles. Now the waffles itself wasn't the best waffle I've had,but it was standard. However, that was okay because the star of the dish was that chicken and the hot honey they used on it!They have the perfect recipe for that and make the chicken and it's skin just right! Perfect amount of sweet and spicy. It was abonus that it came with eggs and potatoes as well. Eggs are eggs, but the potatoes were really good. Very much enjoyed thisplace would have love to try it for lunch! Overall I give Table Mountain Grill & Cantina a 4.4 out of 5, a Golden, CO mustvisit! Read more

The drinks are good. The appetizers were good. Service was good. But the food was horrible. I couldn’t take but two bites of... my steak because it was so chewy. The mash potatoes tasted like they were kept in the refrigerator overnight. The asparagus wasflavorless and had no seasoning. Actually nothing had seasoning. Maybe they ran out of seasons in the kitchen? Was not expectingsuch bland food from a Mexican restaurant. Read more

My friend and I ordered the local trout, which was really good. I got a margarita which was sweet and not too sour, also... delicious. The strange standout that I wasn’t expecting, however: the water! It was the freshest I’ve had at a restaurant ina while? My friend and I cleared three glasses each on a hot day and topped off our water bottles. Our nice day in Golden wasenhanced by stopping in here for dinner. Read more

Grabbed happy hour and dinner on Cinco de Mayo and had a great experience. The happy hour is awesome - great food and drink... deals and totally worth a visit. Our server was awesome - really friendly and professional and super fast service - we had ourorders in, drinks, apps and our entrees on the table within 8 minutes!! And everything was fresh and hot - we were mind blown. The mango margaritas were some of the best I've ever had - super delicious. The salsa/queso/guacamole trio was really good - ourserver recommended it when we ordered the guacamole and it was a perfect recommendation and I will pass along the samerecommendation! We also tried the three taco plate and all was good. We'll be back soon and highly suggest hitting up the happyhour! Read more

Pleasantly surprised with this one, we just walked off the street and found it. The salsa and guacamole was some of the best... ever. The rest of the food was outstanding too. The service was also outstanding, we had a large group and they actually offeredto split the check for us. That almost never happens. Very impressed with this place. Read more

Historic venue located in Denver, where forum and decor take you back in time. Good cooking, I ate a buffalo fillet and an elk... fillet cooked well. Good local beer. I'll be back for sure. Read more
