Ordered the shrimp fajitas for lunch to treat myself and could not have been more disappointed. Neither the limp soggy... vegetables nor any of the 5 rubbery over cooked shrimp had ever seen any seasoning or a grill that I could tell....and the corntortillas were so thick and dry it took half my drink to choke down one bite. My favorite Mexican place in Goleta and possibly Santa Barbara. I mean there could be something better, but I am quite... preoccupied spending time and Tuesdays here. I mention Tuesdays because of their Taco Tuesday special offer with street tacos atcheaper prices. You would think that since they are the less glorified and the simple version of their monstrous tacos, thesestreet tacos are the bee?s knees, and I could eat 10 of them! Of course, they have more to offer but I am a simple taco girlmyself. Don?t fret, I have tried different things and they are just as tasty. They offer local beers, house margaritas and evenmargaritas flights all for those 21+. Their enchiladas are delicious, I?ve even tried just a side enchilada one day (so I canheavily indulge in tacos), but even a side enchilada was great. Every time I have been here there?s been a lot of people butluckily, I have been able to find a table and courteous staff who come and bring you everything you need. Pretty tasty! I'm usually never impressed by the Mexican food choices in Cali. Being from Houston, there is no shortage of... amazing Mexican food at home. Los Agaves has given me faith that West Coast Mexican food can indeed be good. I kept it simple...Got steak tacos with a side of rice and black beans. They brought out the wrong beans initially, but replaced them quickly. Themeat was great! Perfectly medium with a nice char on the outside... And they gave a great portion as well. The rice and beanswere your standard Mexican fare, but still tasty. The salsas also were fresh and delicious. I'd definitely come back. Thanks forrestoring my faith! Read more
We went for dinner last Friday and we are a party of 8. It was super busy and luckily there was a table inside that I grabbed. ... It was our first time here. We all enjoyed our dinner and we love the chips and different flavored salsas. The food wasdelicious and fresh tasting. Take out only now but plenty of room to eat outside relatively safely, or in your car. It?s super popular so they have quite a... few people waiting and try to do their best to speed things up.
