Wow, the original is here! The first time we have already noticed an intense, awesome smoke and barbecue smell from a large... distance. We followed the cloud of smoke and saw a long line of people queuing up to the street. That's how we discovered habitBurger and since then we love the food there. The burgers are always made fresh and grilled on charcoal. The No. 2 combo is justperfect. The meat is extemely delicious and has a very high quality - everything comes from the region. You also have to try theother dishes like the steak sandwich or the tuna sandwich. Super tasty. Everything is topped off with delicious side dishes likecrispy fries or onion rings. Brought my kids on a Spring Break and UC campus tour road trip and stumbled upon this Habit Grill! We had no idea it was the... original here in Goleta! This is so different from the Habit Grill we have close to home. It is walk-up service and they havespecial menu items you can only find at this location according to one of the regulars we saw. There was a bit of a wait and aline?this must be a popular place! There is parking in the back and it?s on a pretty busy street. They don?t allow customers toserve their own drinks, keeping everyone safe during COVID. This is such a unique location in a beautiful town and apparently?The Original? Habit Grill?so don?t miss it! We were in Old Town Goleta and smelled the aroma of The Original (the first) Hamburger Habit. The aroma was enticing, and caused... us to crave burgers from this location. This is the first location my mother brought me to as a kid. She always loved gettingthe steak sandwich and ate it with little yellow chilies. Seating at this location is all outdoor patio seating, with someheaters to keep you warm. I ordered a Double Char with cheese and Chili-Cheese fries. The original location is the only locationwhere one can get a Chili Burger or Chili-Cheese fries. I had my chili fries with those cute little yellow chilis, and all thatwas missing were some delicious white, raw onions on my fries. At first I looked at the fries, which appeared over overcookedand lukewarm (which I dislike). The chili seemed lukewarm as well. When I combined them however, they were perfect and hit thespot!! I was totally craving chili cheese fries. The patties on the burger initially seemed overcooked, but the burger wasdelicious and also hit the spot! The burger had delicious shredded lettuce, and yummy tomatoes. I put the residual mayo lettuceon top of my fries, and it was great!
