I called my order into the restaurant and when I got there, I had to wait an additional 25 minutes for my food. The ?host? said... little to me and never explained to me why my food took so long. While I was waiting I heard the sounds of a microwave beingused. I lost all hope at that moment. When I finally got to eat my food it was ice cold. The shredded chicken was dry and stiffand it poked at my gums. The churros tasted frozen and the salsa was bland. This was my first and only experience with thisrestaurant. Read more

I have to laugh at some of the one-star reviews posted here. It really is an indictment of the average American's palate. For... once, a Tex-Mex restaurant is not drowning their food in salt and people complain. Personally, I prefer to taste the subtlerflavors of the food. And for that reason, I give Cafe de Olivos five-stars. My wife and I went for the first time this pastweekend. Chips were good. Salsa was mild, but far from bland as some of claimed. And the meals were exceptional. I went withthe Al Pastor tacos and highly recommend them. The flavor was spot on. Also, the Margaritas were A+. Where other localTex-Mex places margaritas often have a taste that borders on drinking sugary brine due to salt and sugar content, you canactually taste the lime and tequila in Cafe de Olivos margaritas. All in all, if salt is you thing, I'd recommend staying home. However, if you enjoy the actual flavor of your food and recipes that are authentic to their origin, I highly recommend givingthis place a try. My wife and I will certainly be back to sample more of their menu. Read more

I tried the food but will not return. The food was not tastefu bland . Be aware when ordering they will charge extra for items.... I ordered the toco salad the waitress asked if I want grilled or shredded chicken, when I got my receipt I was charged for thechicken. She never said there was a charge for the chicken. The same a extra charge when I ordered the chimichanga. Now I seewhy only a few cars in the parking lot. Read more

The food was outstanding. I had enchiladas al pastor which was delicious. My sister had shrimp quesadillas and said it was the... best she ever had. The margaritas weren't perfect. But the friendly staff did their best to make up for that. I will definitelyeat there again! Read more

I've been twice since they opened and both times were great. The steak fajitas and taco salad were great. The staff was pleasant... too. I'd recommend this place if you are hungry for Mexican food. Read more

Ok, so we tried out the restaurant tonight and I can honestly say I'm not impressed. The salsa was so bland, but after adding... our own salt it got better. The taco's too were bland. Need to add some seasoning to the "marinated steak" maybe adding a littlelime and cilantro may help.. My sister got the nachos and I must say they were pretty good after eating my meal. It had someflavor. The downside for me was the chips were a little burnt for me. If I do return it will be for one of their specials onfajitas and drinks. I heard the fajitas were pretty good from the other patrons. Read more
