First off I wanna say I?ve lived in Madison since 2000, so I?m familiar with this place as it has been here for years. To be... clear, the food is amazing, hence the two stars. I haven?t visited in a while but unfortunately today will be my last time. Toset the scene, there seems to be kids working here. Everyone looks under 18 and in high school. This is not meant to offend, butnot only do their looks show their age, but their actions do as well. After I made my order, a polite, petite woman walked inwanting a correction on her order. After explain the very simple situation, one of the young employees was bug eyed and silent.After staring at her for 10 seconds in silence, he went to get his manager (I assume) instead. The next two minutes were themost disgusting display of customer service I?ve seen in a while, especially coming from a place i call home. The manager threwthe woman?s food away, gave her back her money, and told her ?go to the mall, they?ll make it how you like it?. This is comingfrom a small comparison she made to another gyro place at Rivergate mall. Instead of putting pride aside to fix the woman?ssimple order, the manager was condescending, rude, and arrogant. Mind you, the woman was calm and polite the whole time, upuntil he told her to order somewhere else, where she wearily explained she was on her very short lunch break and now had no timeto eat. She mentioned she worked at the nail shop not to far from the area and was a regular customer. If the manager wasn?t sofocused on the mistake of the order, he would realize that it sounded like this was one of the first errors they made sinceshe?s been a customer. Because of this interaction I witnessed, I will no longer be coming back. I am not a fan of how theytreat their customers when things go wrong. I went through the drive thru ordered a combo plate with Greek salad and feta with Taziki . I got jalapeños All over the dish... No Feta and tastes like ranch not Taziki. When I called because it?s burning my mouth off. I added my own feta from home. Themanager got smart with me and told me not to tell him what was in Greek salad. Never and I lived in Greece have I ever hadJalapeños in the salad. Tastes terrible. Will Never go back. Would Not recommend. Read more
Customer service AT AN ALL TIME HIGH!! Not quite speedy but it may have been slower than usual because it was peak of the hour!... Grew up in Chicago so they hooked me in with the name. Thank goodness they lived up to the Chicago Gyro!!! The prices were very... reasonable and the food was fantastic...so much so that I went back the next day for lunch. If I lived here I would probably goonce a week for sure! Gyro meat was soaked in oil for the whole day. Owner reply below verify his terrible customer service. He is not ashamed of... selling meat soaked in fat for a whole day; which is a health department concern. I asked the manager for fresh meat so I don'teat left over greasy gyro meat, specially he had gyro on the gyro machine. He said I had to take greasy meat.
