It was our anniversary and after a so-so experience on our first visit in about 17 years, we decided to give it another chance... since the service was good. This second and now last time that we go made us realize that Black Angus lost our business. Pleasedon't email me offering discounts like you did on my first review as I will not be going there again. I read past reviews aboutpeople having a great Anniversary there and even getting a dessert after as a way to show their appreciation for you choosing tospend your Anniversary there. The hostess put a paper on our table showing the waitress that it was our Anniversary and wedidn't even get Anniversary wishes like we had before on our last 12 that we had. We felt uncomfortable from the beginning tostart it all and we should have left. At one point I had to get up, go to the back and ask someone in the kitchen area to giveme my first refill as our waitress just kept ignoring us. I'm not sure if maybe there was a meeting with the manager andeveryone seemed in a bad mood or what but we didn't feel like we were wanted there. When we left we even said our thank yousand awkwardly there was no response back. Oh well, I now feel like I'll have to make it up to my wife and take her to where Ishould have taken her in the first place! Oh, by the way, I shared a picture of the 16 ounce steak parts that were not ediblein case people need to see that they're actually only able to eat about 13 to 14 ounces instead. Read more
Celebrated 13th Anniversary. While waiting to order, they bring out fresh baked bread with butter... Decided on campfire feast... for 2. Which is 1 appetizer,, 2 entrees, 2 sides for each, and 1 dessert. Ordered The steak quesadilla for appetizer. Sides,salad, which was blended well, and au gratin potatoes, that were very tasty.The N.Y. strip. It was a little tender but juicy.For dessert , I know right... A giant chocolate chip cookie, that melts in your mouth! Topped with ice cream. Needless to saywe had plenty of left overs for the next day. They didn't know we were celebrating our anniversary and still treated us verywell. Great service. Read more
Service was extremely slow, took over an hour to get our food. Even more disappointed when it came out. My steak had so much... fat, I didn’t even bother with the rest. Had to ask the gentleman cleaning for a to go box and check since waitress wasbarely present. Read more
Appetizer was sub par-had spinach & artichoke w/chips. Drinks every not kept up AT ALL! Then towards the end she gave me three... drinks at once. Insulting if you ask me and extremely lazy. The Nw York strip was not cooked to medium-was cooked rare atfirst. Wife's top sirloin was over cooked asked for medium rare-cooked to medium well at first. Steaks tasted okay. Visited here on Thursday 2/24 after work. Place was busy as they were having some special three course plus drinks pairing... event. Sat at the bar, where there were two women working, one in training. Nice ladies, but service was poor. Took a long timeto get service for more drinks and dinner following my first drink. I ordered a Manhattan which wasn’t great and only abouthalf to three quarters of the way full including the ice. I was highly disappointed since my friends drink was served fullglass. Ah man this place had excellent food and that means alot coming from me i will deffinitly go out my way to get good food and im... so glad i stopped by here....i got the grilled shrimp and my lady got thsteak quesadilla ....even the mac and cheese was onpoint ....deffinitly worth the money...with a drink we spent 65$ Read more
After having not been in years I found the food to be a pleasant surprise. My only issue is that my other family members got... prime rib and it was very very tough to eat. I tried it and found It to be hard to chew. My new york strip was, however, softand easy to eat, as well as delicious. Read more
When I am in Arizona, I always eat at the Black Angus. I am usually hesitant when it comes to chain restaurants but in all... honesty you can't go wrong here. The steaks are of high quality as is the service. Well worth a visit! Read more
