Very nice campground with very nice couple that own and manage it. Large campsites. The campsites are arranged with two sites on... each post so we are set up back to back to one camper and awning is facing the next camper's awning but there is a wide spacebetween us. Most of the campground is full of seasonal campers, some with park models. Many have permanent decks and storagesheds. Some campers look old but none of them look junkie. There is a sign after the office coming into the campground area thatsays "No ATVs," which I appreciate but thought it was odd since the campground is on a popular ATV / snowmobile trail. Thenlater I noticed that there is a large ATV / snowmobile storage area. There is a new, large, beautiful bathroom. Cheap ice paidby the honor system. Fire rings at every site with cheap firewood available. A nice tavern is across the road with LeinenkugelOriginal on tap and some great burgers and onion rings. The County Park with boat ramp is exactly 1 mile down the road. It isfree to visit the park and use the boat ramp. Campsites there cost about the same as here. We were very displeased camping atthat County Park because they don't have sewer hookups or even a nearby RV dump station. The closest dump station is 14 milesaway. The County Park also has no water. Moving to North View gives us all the benefits of the County Park with full hookups anda hot shower. We will be back next year. Read more
Clean, quiet, close to many ATV trails, ice cream shop on site, fire . wood available(cheap). The cabins are immaculate, with... very nice up to date bathrooms, fresh bedding. Owners are so friendly. Recommend this campground for a great family vacation. Read more
We had a great time this past weekend here. Excellent access to ATV/Snowmobile trails, nice hot showers and clean bathrooms. ... We had a nice LARGE group of 3 sites that we had 3 groups camping on. We had plenty of room for the kids to play! Very wellkept campground. Mark and Colleen were very helpful with getting us setup and Mark was gracious enough to loan us ATV helmetsfor the kids and tri-pod for cooking over the fire. He brought us a load of firewood right to our site in the bucket of histractor so we didn't need to haul it around ourselves. The ice cream shop was great when we needed some relaxing and coolingoff. I would definitely recommend North View Campground for anyone looking for a place to camp in the Gordon area. There wasa LOT of rain that was causing some flooding and washouts at almost all the campgrounds around the area, but they were setupwell here and had no issues. They even accommodated a group on short notice that had been flooded out of another campground sothat they could stay in the area! Well done Mark and Colleen! We look forward to our next stay! We rented cabin 2 (If you roll in in the dark it's really hard to find) other than that it was a great experience. Cabin 2 was a... homey, little place we thoroughly enjoyed. We attend an event in Duluth every year, and although a little far we booked thecabin again for next year. Read more
