Well worth every penny. Beer was good. There staff is very nice too. We will be back soon.
First off, we ate off hours-3:30 in the afternoon. Waiter was awesome with the order taking but seemed to have been clocked out... and left because we really didn?t see him again. It ended up being okay as one of the other wait staff took over and did afantastic job! Chicken sandwich- blue cheese was really great. I had ordered the regular chicken sandwich Nashville hot butreceived the blue cheese one instead. No big deal as it was awesome. The rest of my group ordered fried chicken and had nocomplaints of their food as it was very good. Note- use the hot honey if you get cheese curds! Bon appetite Read more
The Smokehouse Burger was amazing! Big patty, crisp apples, the flavors all blended together so good. The beer selection is... always good. The service is always with a smile and this afternoon they even had live music there. Nice seating area outsideif you desire. A perfect place to stop off for a bite and a drink as your passing through Gordonsville. Read more
I love the menu I couldn't decide what I wanted. So I settled with the fried chicken sandwich, with garlic herb for the sauce, I... added cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, And then for dipping sauce for my wedge fries I got the remoulade verysimilar to a Chick-fil-A sauce, Very very good. First time with an issue. My wife had fried chicken which to say the least was well done. As a side my wife and I both had... biscuits, both could have been used as a puppy treat to clean their teeth. We showed the waitress, which by the way wasextremely sweet and offered to make our dinner better. We chose not to replace the puppy treats, but did get a chicken breast togo. ( note: the burnt one was left fully in tact). The waitress went to speak with the manager about a possible bill adjustment. The manager approved 1 dessert on the house to make our experience better. We accepted the small slice of pie with a storevalue of $5.00. We don't make a habit of complaining, so to do so was out of the norm for us. We certainly hope this was anisolated issue. Read more
Wow, Great food, the flounder is amazing. Great sides, crispy fry's, great service. Will definitely be returning!!! 2nd Visit,... Father's Day, Food was absolutely perfect. Wait staff was super nice, but..... I'm almost embarrassed to say how long we waitedfor lunch, a solid 80 minutes. It really wasn't packed either, we were seated immediately upon arriving, and there was always atleast one or two picnic tables available outside. They brought us some popcorn, which was delicious, but our appetizers came outwith our dinner. Please, I beg of you, speed that kitchen up. I will return again, but I'll never wait this long again. This is a great spot in Gordonsville that has an open indoor space and a lovely outdoor space. On our most recent trip we got... the Beer Cheese appetizer which has a delicious soft pretzel, crunchy pretzels, apples and carrots with a large pot of deliciousbeer cheese. One of the best in the area. I ordered a few vegetarian side items and really enjoyed the cheesy grits, biscuitwith apple butter and mac n cheese. My boyfriend got a fried chicken boat with 4 pieces, fries and slaw. Was a huge amount offood and we were both stuffed. One day maybe I'll save room for dessert but it's hard when the food is so good! Highlyrecommend! Read more
We have ate here several times but tonight the chicken was the best it has ever been. The deviled eggs were great as well. The... waitress was running her but off but still managed to keep up with things. The Mac n cheese was good but could have been alittle hotter. The mashed potatoes was a little bland for my liking. So now we have been here 4 or 5 times and it's crazy thatthe chicken is so inconsistent. Today it was way overcooked and very dry. Potatoes were good today but the Mac n cheese waspretty bad. I think I have gave this place enough tries to where I feel I won't be going back. We ordered 2 Appetizers and onlygot 1 and we were not charged for the 2nd so it was fine. The place was very clean and cool looking decor inside. I reallydislike the tiny salt and pepper packs that you get instead of salt and pepper shakers. Read more
