The beer was good, decent selection and the service was great. I had french onion soup (3 out of 10) and a flatbread (0 out of... 10). Sorry, I only write this to try to help. The pizza is the worst I've ever had. Cheap cheese, the sauce was tasteless and itwasn't really cooked. Literally worse than cafeteria pizza. The key ingredient to pizza is to show some care. And this was notpresent. Hope you guys turn it around. Read more

This review pertains to the restaurant, not the hotel. I have no experience with the hotel accommodations. The restaurant has... gone down hill. I expected that COVID would cause a staffing shortage in every restaurant but they have more problems than justa shortage of servers. We went to their web site before we went to there to see what they had for food. You can view the"gallery" - mouth watering pictures of all kinds of dishes. Unfortunately, absolutely NONE of them are offered. I had my mindset on Roast Beef (saw in the gallery). Not on the actual menu. So I ordered a steak. Not available because they are changingtheir menu. We didn't bother to find out what they did have, we just left. The one "employee" that I wish wasn't there was thelive music. Not that he was bad, he was ok, but too loud for a nice dinner out. Couldn't hear myself think. Read more

The old day charm. The decor is back to the 1800s, mixed of old furniture. The room is not big but clean. The bathroom is also... clean and updated. The staff is great. The bar/ restaurant was crowded so must be a town crowded. The only annoying thing aboutthe place is the church clock across the street that goes off every hour. Other than that, it's very good experience. Read more

I really wanted to love this place. It is extremely quaint with just the perfect mix of New England charm. They also have a... tavern on site with outdoor seating which makes it very convenient. The ambiance was exactly what you would want staying at anold New England inn. Unfortunately customer service was sub par...we were originally put in a dirty room (which was a very niceroom) then put into a much smaller room with one small lamp as a light, no hairdryer, and only one outlet which held a phonecharger which was in the bathroom. Also we only received one set of towels when they knew there were two people staying. I mean,at least the room was clean. We went to the front desk to ask for a hairdryer and staff members did not come in until 11am. Oncewe returned to the Inn after a day out and about, we were told that they ?didn?t owe us a hairdryer?...pleasant huh? Afterputting us in a dirty room (which had a hairdryer) that was how we were treated. Again, I really wanted to like this place andbook future reservations there, probably not going to happen though.
