New to the area from NC, trying to find a nice go to spot? immediately were met by someone screening us for weapons? safe I... guess but concerning? then went to pay (no idea we needed to pay to go in) but guess what? it?s cash only?! ?. In 2022 ? soundslike someone is avoiding some taxes? we had $9 cash? when we said that the lady rolled her eyes and was like tough luck.. if theentire place was cash only I don?t know but because of the rudeness from the lady at the counter.. It's a very nice dance floor and facility. We got some good 2-step, east coast swing etc. in the first 2 hrs to good... traditional dance music. By 10 pm or so it got louder and the dance etiquette went out the window. This is more for the youngergroup in their 20s and early 30s, not traditional country dance. Read more
Edit/Update 7/2022 !!!! Still love the place...Fridays only!!!! The DJ (Chris) is what makes this place great and worth coming... back to! He counts you in and plays line dances, 2 steps, triple steps, some swing. Basiclly, he knows what he's doing!!!! I'vegone on Saturday and it's just some guy playing tunes like anyone could or be replaced by a pre-programmed playlist... lame!Know your customers and cater to the country crowd, not some hiphop club or a wanna-be country club. After all, isn't this acountry joint with the biggest dance floor?! That's why people come, to dance country style dances to danceable country music. If you know, you know! Great place (and seems to be the only place) to actually DANCE to country music (two-step, swing, linedance). Great DJ that will keep you on the dance floor. It is smoky and can be hard to find a place to sit at times (go earlyif you want a seat). The younger, rowdy, obnoxious kids start rolling in around 11 and more hip-hop and less country is playedthen. Good drinks, fair price. Read more
Garrett is a great bartender and does an amazing job. The drinks he makes are always perfect and he sets a great atmosphere for... the bar. We need more good bartenders like that. Read more
Something always pulls me back to this bar and I don?t even like country music. The atmosphere is energetic and everyone here is... very accepting! Big plus they stay open till 3. There?s Country dance lessons on some days early when they open and cornholesome days early also. Read more
We took our daughter here to celebrate her 21st birthday because her #1 request was to go line dancing, and Mo Country did not... disappoint !!! I was surprised to learn that this is the only place to go line dancing in the entire Kansas City area, but thisis the ONLY place we need!!! Great overall experience from line dancing to the fantastic variety of music played to themechanical Bull and the drinks/food to all the great people! We will definitely come again and so glad we discovered thisplace! Read more

It was fun but waaaaaayyyyyyyy over priced. 8 shots and 8 beers added up to $170. They basically screwed me.. I only gave it a 2... stars because the dancing was fun. I feel like going up there tomorrow to complain to the owner or manager..i bet thosebartenders are over charging EVERYBODY I don't know if I'll ever go back there Read more
