My wife and I went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Overall we had a very good evening. The service was great and... friendly. The food was all good. For the price of this type restaurant, I hope to "blown away" by some of the food. We thoughtit was all good, but nothing blew us away. We would go back again. This was our first time dining at 1890. We celebrated our 14th anniversary and we were not disappointed. Our server, Cameron,... was in training (and his trainer, I think her name was Liv) and he was great. The steaks were wonderful, the atmosphere wasnice, upscale but casual, and the banana pudding was delicious. Definitely a great place for a special occasion, but casualenough for a regular Tuesday too. Hope to be back and hope to see Cameron again. Read more
We had dinner here and the staff was very friendly. It's not a very big restaurant so make sure to make your reservations ahead... of time...a week if possible. The appetizers and desserts were the bomb!! The entrees were a little disappointing related to thesmall portions and the meat was overcooked. I had the chicken and my friend and her husband both had the salmon and they wereall over cooked. My husband had the duck and he said it was good but very small portion, about 4-5 oz if I was to guess.Normally we don't mind small portions if it's amazing, especially if we're having appetizers. I would say this is not a normthough because our friends have eaten here before and said it was very good and nothing was overcooked. I think the chef justhad a busy night. Absolutely wonderful place to dine! Loved the atmosphere in this older building downtown Granbury! Great service & outstanding... food!
