We had our wedding at the Oakwood, and we absolutely loved it. The venue is beautiful and uniquely charming. Sami, the wedding... coordinator, was extremely accommodating and did a great job making sure we had everything we wanted. The food and wine wereexcellent (and served exactly on schedule). The photos turned out amazing because of how beautiful the golf course and venue is.We couldn?t have dreamed of a more perfect day! We also stayed there with our families for the week, and the stay was veryenjoyable. The private beach was the perfect place to relax in the sun, and our rooms were quiet and comfortable. Came to Oakwood with a group. The food was amazing, the service - more than amazing. The staff at Oakwood are wonderful. My room... was comfortable. The private access to the beach was great! Hoping to come again next year! Thank you Oakwood staff for makingour stay so wonderful! Read more
We spent 4 nights and 5 days at Oakwood. It was a lovely time. The rooms are a little dated but clean and spacious enough for us... and our 3 kids. A relatively short walk into town and very close to the beach. We also golfed while there. The course was in okshape. It's a good little 9 hole par three. The kids loved it. Read more

I don't know how this place gets 5* Rooms are really old. A neglected blast from the past in need of major Facelift. And ...no,... its not clean. EXTREMELY outdated Room smelled like mold, old carpets, can't imagine how people who have allergies sleep inthese rooms. Windows should be washed. Breakfast buffet mediocre. Dave's pub? Waited to be seated in a half empty place for 20minutes then waited for a server for another 20 m and for deep fried food another 45m. My Car GOT HIT WHILE PARKED at this 'Resort' AT night. So be careful basically no cameras... BTW ---- Thank you to the Burgundy Car now I have to wait 2.5 monthsto get the reddish dent out of my almost new car. ( July 2022 hit/run burgundy or red car LEARN how to drive/ park if you readthis) Even CUBA has better rooms/food than this Resort, Not to mention other places in the world that are 3 *** as well. ANDYES they all have housekeeping but Oakwood doesn't "Because covid" ....... Read more

Oakwood resort is beautiful, great resort with comfortable rooms, nice pool and a beautiful private beach. Service was friendly... and fantastic ????. So close to the main beach strip yet peaceful. Amazing location beautiful lot with a par 3 golf course right on site and a private beach. Rooms are average at best they do... have cabins and cottages on site but didn't stay in them so cannot review. Friendly staff but definitely paying for the venuemore than the amenities. Read more

We vacationed with our family for 4 days and overall we were satisfied. First we were sold a room in the "Longhouse" building,... but the room was horrible. It had a sagging ceiling in the bathroom and the shower didn't work very well. Although we were soldthis room as more expensive and more comfortable for a family. The next day we asked for a room change and were moved to a roomin the Pine Lodge building, next to the pool. This room was a little cheaper, but much better than the one we spent the lastnight. We enjoyed the rest of our stay. I recommend taking rooms in the Pine Lodge building. It is close to the pool and to thebeach access. We were pleased with our stay there, other than the first night in a horrible room. Read more

I decided to have my wedding at Oakwood Resort and I definitely was not disappointed!! The location was beautiful, the staff... was incredible and the rooms were wonderful! Sami Eaton was the most incredible Wedding Coordinator I could have asked for. Shewas kind, quick, and she thought of everything! If I missed something or if something went wrong she was on top of it and shewas quick. I absolutely recommend getting married at Oakwood! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the honeymoon suit hadlots of room for us girls to get ready. Thank you for an incredible experience. Read more
