The server was very polite and attentive, but a little forgetful. Asked for no ice in a beverage, came with ice. Ordered a side... salad that was not brought until reminded. Breadstick did not come out with the salad, until requested. The kitchen left alittle to be desired as well. Ordered burger with "no pink", came out pink. Breadsticks tasted stale. Salad portions weresmaller than previous visits to Applebee's restaurants in different locations. We arrived about 2 hours before closing, so Iunderstand that it was the "end" of the day, however that shouldn't affect the quality of our visit. This also means it was notbusy, so we should have been able to expect more. We are on day 2 of a 4-day road trip, and had been in the car for over 12hours. We have been here a few times and the food and service is ok sometimes and very bad other times. Our server was very good and... got us whatever we wanted very fast. They also got our food out hot. My steak wasn?t done properly and was tough. The waffle fryappetizer was soggy and undercooked. Who wants to go to Applebee?s by themselves? Read more
My husband and I went to this Applebees in hopes of having a cost-effect brunch date, service was alright as we had to wait on... our refills, and appetizers to come out. Our appetizer came after our meal. My husband and I typically get the 2 for 25. I got apasta and he got chicken strips. I?d be wary of their staff properly cooking their chicken to food safe temps. My husband washospitalized with a severe case of food poisoning from the chicken strips. I?ve spent 10+ years in food service. Cooking chickento temps where it is safe for consumption is something that has been drilled in my head. To top it off, I was given wrongchange. Easy fix, but I had to wait for staff to give me the time of day to make it right. Read more

I have enjoyed Applebees in many other states but I wasn?t happy with this one in Grand Forks. I came to enjoy appetizers that I... usually do. (1) the food portions were smaller than what I am used to in other places?the pictures for the waffle fries onlineon their menu look like there are a bunch of fries but I didn?t see many on my plate, (2) the chicken wonton tacos were lackingany flavor except for the skin which was a fun and light version of wonton crisps but in shell form?the tacos only had mayobased coleslaw and the chicken (but I asked to Substitute ???? Shrimp and the friendly waitress said she could have the kitchenSubstitute chicken for Shrimp so I was happy at first BUT when the bill came I was charged $4 that she didn?t tell me aboutwhich confused me and disappointed me because the waitress said a substitute was fine and didn?t tell me I would be chargedextra), (3) the chips with the spinach with artichoke dip had way too much salt all over them so I had to rub it all off fromeach chip. (4) salsa for the chips were too spicy. I won?t be returning to this Applebees. But that?s mostly because I wastold I would be able to substitute shrimp for chicken so I assumed that meant, in any food establishment, that it would mean Iam not charged. So I didn?t like that I was not told or given a choice of keeping it all vegetarian with extra veggies since Idon?t eat chicken or any kind of meat. UPDATE...4-29-22. in my opinion, the best bartenders in town. They have really built up a full bar of regular patrons thru... good service and over the top customer relations!. Great value. Its great to see the staff get back to the friendlyneighborhood mindset! (Cue cheers theme song) Read more
My daughter and I arrived here for a light supper and drink and although there was a waiting list for the booths we were able to... sit at the bar. We ordered pinna colitis's, they were pretty perfect and the bartender that day Saturday 8-27 was knowledgeableat what was included in each entre. She was very attentive and asked questions, gave us choices and our meal came fast. I wasable to see others plates of food and they were proportioned and looked extremely appetizing and it was hard to choose what Iwanted. I did end up ordering the grilled Caesar Salad, just because I had it before and loved it so much. My daughter ordereda chicken alfredo and she was impressed also. I found the service great, the food great, I give them a 5 star. I love thisplace! Read more
