Hidden gem. Talk about value for every dollar!!-- my dad and I ordered off the lunch menu, so he got a rack of ribs and a side... for $11.99 I believe it was, and I got a ribeye and fries (also for $11.99). My step mom's chef salad was the most expensivething that was ordered at $13-something. I'm glad we got to go there to celebrate my dad's birthday, it's his favorite place togo and he got exactly what he wanted as well as I got to eat somewhere new and was pleasantly surprised for once. ???? The ribs were horrible! They were basically boiled and sauce added just before serving. The rib bones were close to 1" around so... the animal was old and tough. They did not offer "loaded baked potatos". A slice of buttered white toast, was included per menu.I'm assuming it was replacing a dinner roll. The waitress was the only redeeming experience. Stopped after a concert and Liza served us. She was slammed and still made us feel like the only table there. Great food. ... Great service! She recommended everything abs it was so good. Cheeses! One of the only reasons we go is for the TidBits... which in the last 4 times we've gone, were not available. Kind of wish... they'd put that on the big chalkboard. They were also out of several other appetizers to the point we started asking for thingsas a question. Our table and the one next to us ran out of water. Don't get me wrong. Can't rate the food as I never got to order. I can rate my experience on the website and calling in. Where's the menu on your... website, I had to use zmenu to see it. No where on the menu does it say you can't order on line or on the phone. What restaurantturns customers away. This Speedway did just that. I called and was told at 5 pm on Saturday we don't take phone orders. Youcan call back after 730 pm and try again. So I didn't waste my time with them and went to Famous Daves and had a very good meal.If you can do an order at 730 pm you can do one at 5 pm. Not sure if I will try again in the future. Read more
